We landed on sunset flying in from Perth. The drive to the hotel was a little worrying. No streetlights and if you don’t have complete trust in your drive you’d be a little concerned. We only stayed over night to have a breather before travelling North. This hotel has a pleasant, relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Our booking included breakfast a tv remote. Handy if you’re that way inclined. Our room was upstairs. The rooms was comfy with the basic amenities needed for a pleasant stay. The bed very comfy and if we slept 20 hours straight then it’s a gooden!! The tap water is drinkable which we didn’t know. Until after dinner. Speaking of dinner. I had the chicken curry which was spectacular!!!! I didn’t include pics because taking photos of food is so boring!! All in all. A very pleasant stay. Why I didn’t give it an extra star? No bottled water Coffee wasn’t the best. Both first world problems.
We stayed in this hotel during our every visit to Fiji for almost 7 years now and was very Disappointed from the word go from December 2017. Firstly it was very difficult to contact staff after calling several times just to confirm bookings and even sent emails online booking didn't seem to work as same time we had no issues while booking OTHER Hotels online. Once we got there we were informed by a female staff member not sure if she is a manager from our observation she acts like a manager, that all rooms are booked and they will move us from one room into another around almost every day to different room and final day into the bunker room (backpacker room). If we had know before while booking our accommodation we would have booked another hotel its only because of the rest of the staff like Paul, Villi and Avi and his crew are all very nice and hospitable or we won't visit this hotel. Also we were Overcharged for the Last night was only informed by this person just a day before we were checking out. I fell out of bed considering it was single bed more or less like a kids bed. The rooms as mentioned were available as some of the guests who stayed there booked accommodation a day before so we were told a Big Lie by this accounts person?? Rest of the staff were excellent except this particular person who didn't understood what It means to accommodate returned guest over several years and we brought more of our guests for breakfasts and lunch and dinner as we love the staff there only to be disappointed and lied to not good for us. Its not only our sentiment other guests have spoken about this particular person and her behaviours so to mangers and owner we were very upset and disappointed how we were treated . Arthur and Ricky South Australia
No real tv channels. Internet works for one hour a day If that...no hot water ....bugs and spiders usually on bed ...beach is the worst in Fiji all rocks and dirt and brown water....jus stay for a day or two but fin ur coming here to enjoy Fiji beaches and sights ur wasting money ..if ur young on a budget or backpacker thou this is the place to stay
I recently visited Fiji and my family and I stayed at Aquarius on the Beach. The rooms, bathroom and main eating area is very clean and tidy and is always kept clean throughout the day. The staff were absolutely lovely and helpful, always asking if we were ok when walking past reception. They also would tell us how much our taxi rides should be depending on our destination so that we wouldn’t get over charged. The food is delicious! Their vegetarian cannelloni was very yummy and so is the curry. For the breakfast menu I only ever had the pancakes and they were amaze!!! Friday nights is their Polynesian show which was very fun and interactive. Beautiful performances and also getting the crowd involved. I enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back! :)
It’s in a good location in Nadi, ten minutes from the airport, 10minutes from Nadi town and 15 from the Denarau marina. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean and the air con worked great in the room which is well needed in the heat . Checkout is 10am but there is a communal shower for guests that are flying out later. Towels and soap are supplied. I would stay here if it’s simple accommodation you are looking for and a cheap stay in Nadi before making your way to the islands.
I’m writing this for the few meals we ate here, as we actually stayed next door. What an adorable, clean and quiet little hotel! Anyhow, the staff were so kind and helpful! Just a lovely vibe. We loved every dish we tried. We couldn’t get over the positive atmosphere and excellent service (we received the opposite where we were staying). We came in particularly late one night and the staff was still accommodating and sweet. There is a really cute cat that hangs around outside by the pool, which was nice. I’ll stay here when I return to Fiji.
We spent a night here before heading back home and found the hotel staff in reception to be great (Paul). We were welcomed from the time our van dropped us at the door and the location is great with beach access a short walk from the front of the property. The food and entertainment were great and the location with a view across the beach out into the bay was very relaxing. The only gripe that we had was the massage. It was the worst experience I have had and was not impressed when I noticed at the end that the girl who did the massage, used coconut cooking oil. On top of that, she did not remove the oil by towel before telling me that the massage was complete after 40mins. This was even though I had paid for one hour. I would suggest that you stay well away from this option at Aquarius and enjoy the food and the service provided by the rest of the Aquarius staff. Also note that if you are not used to people lighting up at meal time, ask for a place away from smokers.
If you're looking for a low cost place with everything you need then this is the place! Sure it isn't 5 star luxury but for the price you really do get a great experience and isn't over crowded or impersonal! We stayed in an ensuite beach view room and couldn't fault it for the price! Beach views from our private balcony, the pool was cool and refreshing, beach was right there, hammocks, places to chill, breakfast included, great food for dinner (try the lemon mustard chicken), friendly and helpful staff, bus to Nadi stopped out the front (costs $1.10 each way to go to town), other places close by to eat at if you want, supermarket within walking distance. There's not much else you'll need! I would recommend this place for up to a week and then possibly try another location to experience more of Fiji. Only $15 in a taxi from airport too. Thanks Aquarius on The Beach - it was a perfect stay!
Small quaint hotel only 12 rooms. Clean has restaurant and full bar. Beautiful clean pool sits on the beach. Provides airport transfers expensive. Set up all tours. Beach nice water not so clear but pool great. Front desk very accommodating. Villi our waiter was outstanding. I would def stay here again.
Simple but clean and comfortable directly at the beach. The breakfast was good and the staff really friendly (specially Paul). Bus stop by the door which takes you to the center. Also a cute cat is living there :-)
