This Riad is a low risk, Must stay! Staff was so polite and helpful. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I travel often and all over the world. I absolute recommend this place - and the food is so delicious. Showers were clean and great pressure. The details in the décor were so stunning - like nothing I've seen in a long time. Outside is basic, and inside is unreal with beauty. Totally recommend it!
A beautiful and traditional Moroccan riad. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. Said and Ali were excellent hosts and took care of our every need from the moment that we arrived. They came and met us to show us where to park our car, arranged a fantastic walking tour of the medina and made sure we were comfortable at all times. On top of all that, the dinners were excellent. We would recommend the Riad Sara to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of Fes.
The rooms were large, and beautiful. The food was amazing, best Tagine I had in Morocco. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, as well as very helpful. I would definitely stay again if I'm ever in Fes again.
This is a beautiful and centrally-located Riad that I'd recommend to anyone visiting Fes. Very comfortable rooms and baths with an extremely accommodating staff. Additionally, they served some of the best food we have had in nearly a month in Morocco!! I wouldn't stay anywhere else!
In short, Riad Sara is one of the most beautiful places I've ever stayed in. In fact, this Riad was more ornate and beautiful than many of the restored palaces we visited on our trip to Morocco. The rooms are decent-sized, comfortable, and filled with period detail from floor to ceiling (Think tiled walls and floor, ornate carved plaster work, incredible painted ceilings, stained glass windows, grand carved doors...etc.). You won't be able to help marvelling at the property while enjoying your breakfast or when coming and going. Despite being a historical property, rooms included heating and air conditioning, and our bathroom was large and functional, aside from occasional issues with the shower drain. The restaurant on the property is well-reviewed, and the meal we enjoyed there was flavourful and affordable. On top of it all, we found the staff to be incredibly attentive and thoughtful. The brothers of Riad Sara certainly went the extra mile for us, from providing directions and advice, to accompanying us down the street to help us purchase our favourite tea, to packing us a breakfast for our early morning flight. You won't be disappointed!
A large group of us were staying in a different riad who connected us with Riad Sara for dinner. The food was delicious. The fluffiest couscous we've eaten, lamb falling off the bone, amazing tajine. Good food for vegetarians and meat eaters alike. Great quality food and kind service—able to accommodate us last-minute. It's also gorgeous inside! Highly recommend going to this place for a delicious and very affordable meal.
We had a great one night stay in a beautiful room. Everything in the room and bathroom (i.e.plumbing and electrical) worked correctly! While in most places this would go without saying, we have found this is uncharacteristic of this type of property during our one month stay in Morocco. We were there with a large group (20 ish), and they did a great job accommodating a variety of special food requests. Everyone was served more or less simultaneously for the three meals we ate their, which was surprising considering how tiny their kitchen was. They even arranged for traditional live Moroccan music for our dinner. Everyone was attentive and they did a great job. Beautiful place.
I stayed one night at Dar Sara as it was conveniently located regarding a professional appointment, it's a very nice place, nice staff, affordable, I had lunch there and it was good, overall it's a good place to stay, a stone throw from Batha square so very easy to experience the Medina from Riad Sara, I would consider going back.
I had an awesome experience organizing and hosting a group of 20+ at Riad Sara. The riad is absolutely stunning & the beds amazingly comfortable. It was a perfect and luxurious visit after our great experience in the desert. The dinner was the best food I have had in Morocco! We loved the experience. Thank you Said...you are awesome!
If you want to actually live in a Moroccan palace, this is the place. I could not stop looking at every decorative tile, and plaster work. The place was like living in a real palace. The room truly deluxe as well with original light fixtures, a lovely roof top deck and the common area was a miracle of preservation. The hotel itself is located within easy walking distance to the Blue gate and many interesting places. We had dinner, which was very nice, and breakfast is included. I can't say enough after seeing the real palaces of Morroco, this place was just like living there!
