The needs major attention. It was not as clean as we have come to expect. Cabinets were dirty and sticky inside and out, stains on the floor, a dirty and moldy washing machine, dirty carpets throughout, mold in some of the showers and stains on most of the upholstery on the furniture throughout the house. There was a large stain from a leak in the ceiling of the master bedroom closet. Throughout the house, there was an assortment of old furniture, many of which were in poor condition. The kitchen table was glass that balanced precariously on top of sculpture below, which was a nightmare to keep from falling off and shattering (not kid-friendly). Two of the three showers in the house were painfully small. And perhaps the worst part was the fact that two of the bedrooms had sky light windows with no blinds. Several of us (including my young kids) had a daily 5:30am wake up time due to the sunlight streaming in. We asked the property manager about having a handy-man cover them for the week, but he stated that no one was available. There were no cleaning products for washing the floor. One small vacuum was from 1970 and although functional, didn't do a great job. The larger vacuum had a bag that was bursting full and smelled so badly, that we immediately turned it off and never used it again. The pool was unclean and didn't smell of chlorine at all--it was serviced and had no chlorine and needed to be "shocked". Randomly, the numbers 1 and 5 didn't work on the microwave. Pots and pans were old and in terrible condition. We also had to pay an extra $400 to rent sheets and towels. The outdoor furniture on the front porch was old and grimy, as were the small modular seats in the back, which had duct tape to cover up damage. We rent throughout the cape every year and this house, by far, was in the worst shape. The house is in a great location and has potential, but needs love and care and investment. It was a major disappointment given the $10K price tag.
