Photo on Orbitz is highly photoshopped! I drove right by b/c I didn't recognize the building from the pic! Desk/breakfast staff were very nice - but there was never room to actually sit in the breakfast area to eat. Had to take food to room or outside. Shower didn't work. Hairs stuck to side of shower upon arrival. Maintenance man left dirty boot prints in tub after attemp to fix shower - which only somewhat worked. Dogs barked in neighboring rooms thru the night. The room itself was comfortable and the area felt safe but I feel like I greatly overpaid for this stay. Highly disappointed- would not recommend!!

Hotel staff was nice and efficient. Quick check in.

Excellent motel. Room, cleanliness, breakfast all perfect

The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. I didn't get to check out the pool, but the landscaping was very nice. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The continental breakfast was adequate with decent coffee. The location isn't the prettiest (across from a strip mall and surrounded by other hotels) but it's convenient to the 101 and a nice grocery store. Overall I would recommend highly as an affordable option in Humboldt County.

We are very happy we chose to stay here. The staff are very friendly, the breakfast was amazing, and the facility has everything you need for a family trip including kitchenette and laundry room. Thumbs up!

Everything was great except that I couldn't connect to the wifi with my iPad.

Comfortable and clean. The room was large, and recently updated. Bed was comfortable. Although the freeway is close, I didn't hear any road noise -- very quiet. Nice basic breakfast setup... waffles, bagels, toast, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, etc.

The hotel is located close to the freeway with gas stations and restaurants within walking distance. The staff was friendly, the room clean and spacious and the bed was oh so comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was above average with a wide variety of food to choose from. My only word of caution is to just be aware of the large homeless population wandering around the area. If there was one suggestion I could make it would be stocking the rooms with better coffee or one of those 4 cup coffee makers so you can brew your own. This hotel uses the one cup coffee pots and the coffee comes in pouches like large tea bags. Otherwise it was a comfortable stay and I would definitely stay here if I visited the area again.

The Best Western Arcata Inn is a very well run place. The moment you turn into their driveway and see the plants and well kept premises you feel welcome. We stayed here for three nights; our room was spacey and had all the comfort we needed. The complimentary breakfast was very good, service was quick and efficient.

We had a great time here--very, very comfortable and clean room. Great beds. Hot tub and pool were nice.

Reception host was attentive and made changes to make my stay more pleasant. I have kids requested first floor and were willing and able. Breakfast was average, but free. Location was right off highway. Easy on and off to continue our sightseeing.

Very impressed by the classy look of the rooms. The free breakfast was great with lots of sitting area. Beds were very comfortable.

The breakfast was better than expected. The bed was comfortable and the room seemed clean. I was a little disappointed by the aloof staff. Also the bathroom was a little funky. We only stayed one night. I will stay again but try harder for a better rate next time.

I was visitng my daughter for the week in Arcata and this place was perfect. Room was spacious, breakfast good, on site laundry, close to highway for hiking trips, hot tub so-so, pool included too but I didn't use it, access to off site fitness facility-very nice if you don't mind driving a few miles and pet friendly. Would definately return.

Room was clean and comfy. I didn't care for the pillows as they were totally mushy. The place has an indoor hot tub and a grill outside. It is right off the 101 so there was some road noise.

Little bit small. but is nice & quiet., clean easy assess to the freeway.

Newly remodeled room, staff good natured, breakfast slightly better than normal.

Though it appears to have been freshly retouched/painted the outside of the hotel is underwhelming on a row of hotels. We walked in after a long 12 hour drive and the staff greeted us with a smile an a hello as we walked in the door. Checking in was easy and very quick even though it appears that one of the staff members was being trained. Parking was easy. It also appears to be a very animal friendly hotel. The room itself was a surprise, it appears to have been recently renovated and was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was immaculate filled with shampoos and conditioners ready for ample use, no tiny bottles here. The TV had tons of channels for our use. We were traveling with three young kids so we made great use of the indoor pool and spa as well as a grass area where the kids threw a ball around. The staff was very sweet a let us have fresh baked cookies each night for our troup. The breakfast is great; freshly stocked and tidy. All of the continental stuff as well as fresh baked waffles you DIY string cheese, yogurt and hard boiled eggs though no other choices for eggs. With everything tasting so great we found the biscuits and gravey a little disappointing. This spot is also within walking distance to a grocery store and several dinner stops. We stayed for three nights and were very happy wig our stay. The hotel is one exit north from Humboldt University which suites our needs wonderfully. The price was reasonable, and considering everything you get with the hotel it was wonderful. We were curious how the other hotels on the street would fair as some bosted 60 a night. And there was one hotel at the end of the block that appeared to possibly be a four star hotel. It also does appear to be a main stopping ground for truckers to refuel though non come into the hotel an the hotel feels secluded. I feel this is an accurate picture for a guest who is coming from out of town, your needs may be different but this suited us very well. Overall we were happy with our stay and would consider it again in the future.

Chose Best Western as a base for trips to the Redwoods and the truly beautiful coastline north of Arcata. The rooms were very clean and well maintained, but also quite dark. Noise from the freeway was acceptable - but I still don't get it why even three star motels in the US don't have soundproof windows and doors. Continental breakfast was ok, but unfortunately they didn't have any fresh fruits or vegetables. Overall a good exprience but since Super 8 and Motel 6 are right next to the Best Western I might opt for them the next time.

Loved it! The pool is great and we had our dog with us, whice wasnt a problem at all!
