Very close to shopping and dining, we were able to walk to the visitors center and River Walk, which saved us the headache of finding a place to park in town. Place could use some updates, but the room was quite big and very clean. Staff was great. Would book again just for the location.

It is definitely not a 3-star place .. the staff is not helpful at all .. they didn’t clean our room and I asked them for towels and the trash to be emptied , they said yes but nothing happened .. overall don’t stay here if you have a choice otherwise

Discovery Lodge was wonderful! 5 minute walk to Visitor’s Center (or drive and park there for free) to catch Estes Park Shuttle. Swing set on the property and grocery store across the street. An awesome place for families.

Towels were excellent, good location to down town. However, beds were very uncomfortable, soap dispensers did not work (we had to fix as containers were not installed properly), TV remotes did not work (Maintenance did come and get us new ones), Breakfast was awful--nothing but sugar and toast, grounds were unkept and goose and moose droppings everywhere.

Honestly this stay exceeded my expectations. The room was much nicer and updated than I expected from the price- I've stayed in lots of cheap rooms that were visibly old, stained, worn, etc, but this one was wonderful! The heat worked very well which was much appreciated on a cold night.

My son & I felt so comfortable and relaxed here & the office crew were very accommodating! It was quiet and friendly. The pond could be cleaned up on edges from some plastics n such but all & all we loved it here & we will make it our return lodge.

Such a great find - cozy and quaint. The room was extremely comfortable and perfect. Checking in was easy; I love the old school keys! Don’t think there is a bad view from any room but being able to open the windows and see the pond and mountains is amazing. Couldn’t find the tool for the fireplace which was okay because we were warm and cozy! The hotel is right at the edge of downtown which makes it easy to get to all the cute shops and restaurants. Will be back during the spring for sure

The property around the water was gorgeous. However we could smell a gas smell from the entrance to our room and In the room the entire night. Was not a very kid friendly property with anything to do for them. The hot tub closed at 7 which is very early for people waiting their turn to go in. The ice room was a bit sketchy as well. The breakfast consisted of toast, tuna packets and Mac and cheese. Very weird items for breakfast but took what we could take as it was complimentary. All around I would not stay again
