I was traveling across country, picking up various family members for a family reunion of sorts. My trip was long and I was looking for hotels around a certain price point. The first one I stayed in was a horror and I cancelled all my reservations at every hotel around that price point save one, this one. And I'm glad I kept this reservation!! My brother and my son were with me at this point, and we weren't looking for extras we wouldn't use. We were looking for clean, comfortable, and everything functioned -WE GOT ALL OF IT. We all said that this hotel is one of the best we've stayed in during this trip (including one that was, without discount, 4x more expensive ) . The room was huge! They even had a rollaway bed for my son (the 4x more expensive hotel near Denver, CO did not have one). The stairs up to our 2nd floor room were not high, which my knees appreciated greatly. It was quiet. We will be staying here again!
Needing a room for a one night stay while driving through Kansas, we opted to stay at the Rodeway Inn in Emporia. Check in experience was great, room was roomy with a great bed and nice tv, everything was very clean, and it very quiet. Our room's door faced the indoor pool (as you can see on the Tripadvisor's picture) but there was not a strong chlorine smell I was anticipating. Breakfast was a simple continental. For the price paid for this room, I found it to be a great value. There are plenty of restaurants within a short drive from the hotel, easy access from I-35 and the Casey's convenience store across the street had the best prices on gas. Well done Rodeway!
So, I got the suite. Walked in, huge room, OMG! There's a sunk in heart shaped whirlpool tub. This place is huge, couch, 2 chairs, but, and here is the rub. Walk into the bathroom and the toilet paper is on backwards. I know this seems silly but, I started to breathe heavy, the room started to spin, I had to sit down. Ahhh! My girlfriend brought me a wet wash cloth for my forehead. I almost ran out screaming in the indoor pool area WHY GOD WHY! WHY CAN'T PEOPLE SEE THE LIGHT! These people must shown the way it's always overhand. If you've read this far then I highly recommend this place. It's quiet and for an older place it's cheap and really nice.
We needed a one night stay and this place was just the ticket. Clean, inexpensive and handy to the highways. Comfy beds were a happy surprise! We were happy with our rooms. Breakfast was simple but good.
This is an older hotel. Needs updating bad. Very clean. Beds comfy. Great indoor pool. Not the best breakfast unless you like cereal. The town was booked solid so we really didn't have any other choice.
What more could you ask for? Everything you could possibly need is here. Friendly staff, great accommodations, cool pool! Beds were comfy. Snack machines were readily available with ice next to it. I've never seen anywhere like this place! Waffles for breakfast were yummy. Everything was clean!
We chose this hotel based on their pet policy of only $10 a night extra for pets. We stayed one night going out to our destination and one night coming back. Total cost for each night was $65 which is super reasonable. However, the room itself was as basic as you can get and best described as "old everything". Given that, the "basics" did function and the staff was helpful. We chose to go out for breakfast on both our stays because what was offered at the motel was skimpy at best, although they served Farmers Coffee which is about the best coffee out there. At a base rate of about $49 a night, the place was almost full so it's the price, and the price only, that keeps this motel going.
Helpful, friendly clerk at check-in. Room was comfortable and clean, but WiFi was nonexistent beyond the main building. Breakfast was basically bread and cereal with no low or no-carb options. Pool was well maintained but the hot tub has been sealed shut.
We had been on the road on evening and needed. Place with a comfy bed and a hot shower. That's exactly what we got! It's not a Eitz, Hilton, or Luxert suite, but if you need a place to sleep and clean up, this is a great spot. There is also a nice pool area as well.precisely what we got.exactly what we got here
This is a very convenient hotel right across from the I-35 exit in Emporia. The hotel is fairly old and shows it's age in places. Other than that, we found the room and the rest of the hotel very clean and quiet. The shower/tub, sink and toilet all functioned well. The beds, while not plush were comfortable for sleeping. We found the hotel staff to be very friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was as expected for most hotel, with cereal, bagels, fruit and a waffle maker. For the low price, it was an acceptable one night stay.
