4/10 Poor

This motel met my needs (a bed for one night and a shower) for a very good price. It's an older property that could use a refresh, but to the naked eye it was as clean as most, especially at the price point. The woman who checked me in was cold and appeared to be annoyed that I'd arrived near 10:30. But, my desire for interaction is no greater than hers, so if the transaction is efficient and accurate, that's all I need. I have low expectations of the complimentary breakfast offered by any motel and sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised. This place offered a pathetic carbfest. Hostess twinkies and cupcakes were offered as breakfast pastries. The black liquid labelled "coffee" looked promising at first, but was the worst, most flavorless I've ever sampled. Note on security: I usually use the secondary (not lobby) door closest to my room. Usually these doors require your room key to open. At this motel, the card reader was on the door, but wasn't needed -- the door could be opened without a card.
