Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Van

Van's Best is mediocre currently

The staff are by far the friendliest I have encountered in a hotel. They were pleasant dealing all the minor needs our room had as they opened two months ago. They brought us a second garbage can, fixed a slow running sink and made our door shut faster and more complete. The breakfast is awesome with bagels, eggs, bacon (occasionally) milk, yogurt and more. I over ate all five days. The pool was not heated but perfect sized for children. You cannot do laps in it however. Patio was nice for meals. Bar was adequate, but staff did great playing with my escaping baby while we played games in the adjoining meeting room.

Quality Inn & Suites Canton

Average

The location was great for going to Canton's first Mondays, the staff was very nice and helpful. It was too cold to use the pool but it looked clean and inviting. Free breakfast was really good and they replentished every thing all the way to closing time. We requested a non smoking room, but they were out of them so we had to take a smoking room, lucky for us, it didn't really smell like smoke. However....The door didn't work right and it was very very hard to get it to latch from the outside when we went out for the evening. That made us worry about the safety of the room. Otherwise, it worked for a clean warm dry place to sleep.

Days Inn and Suites Sulphur Springs

Overnight stay

In town for a taekwondo tournament. The hotel was clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Some remodeling was in progress, but didn't hinder our stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Very quiet as well. The only downside is the breakfast offered. Not much of a selection and most of the food containers were empty, even an hour and half after it opened. Overall, the Hotel is a good place to stay.
