House is very clean and nice but a little dated. Repair required us to leave cabinet open for drying. Area is quiet and nice but neighbor dogs continually on the property and no clean up of dog poop. Outside is not cleaned often - dock is nice but dirty and cobwebs - outdoor seating area nice but dirty with bird poop - lawn mowed morning after we arrived and because it was so long it left a lot of debris and looked a little ragged. Lake is okay but muddy and dirty and we were warned it can be unsafe!

Furniture was cheap and uncomfortable. The outside of the house was not well maintained. The grill is on its last leg. The fishing was good, neighborhood is peaceful and full of wildlife.

1. Guest Bathroom absolutely nasty unswept and unmopped. 2. Bathtub was filthy and not washed shower curtain, head molded, and mildew on the bottom of it.3. The WORST thing was the kitchen sink leaks, and obviously had been leaking for ice in extremely long time. There was horrific mold all in the bottom and on the wall underneath the sink.4. Loose boards on stairs and walkway around the house 5. Landscape being completely unkept. Grass was 15 inches tall obviously not cut in weeks. It was full of weeds and they were so big, they were growing all the way up and over and through the deck on the house. There was one weed that was at least 5 feet tall around the corner of the house.6. The disposal did not work at all. 7. The shoreline wood was absolutely in shambles8. No access in and out of the water to swim. 9. Large Trash bin was full when we got there.10. Coffee spills all down the front of the cabinet.11. Living area fan blades were covered in dust and grime, obviously had not been cleaned in an extremely long time. 12. We tried to reach the manager/owner for four days before the trip by Email and phone and never received a response. Overall, a very, very disappointing stay for a VRBO.

A Great Getaway!

This visit was primarily for my wife and I, although our daughter brought our 3 grandchildren to visit over the weekend. Less than 2 hours from home, this was the perfect getaway! The house was very nice, and the amenities were also nice. Plenty of room to relax and enjoy this beautiful home in a quiet area. We enjoyed watching the birds and deer, and the serenity of the setting, with nice views of the sunrise and sunset! The kids enjoyed kayaking and fishing, even if only for a few minutes, while the weather was pleasant. We would definitely like to have another visit during warmer months. We can highly recommend this location!

Beautiful

This location was a beautiful place to stay with family and friends! Check in was easy, plenty of room for everyone, clean space and the neighborhood was very nice! We saw deer on the neighbor’s lawn, by the lake and on the way to the house. There was plenty of fish biting when we fished off the dock and we were also able to swim and the kayaks were super fun as well. We had so much fun and will definitely book again when we come back to the area.

Lake Fork Waterfront Retreat Great Views and Dock for Fishing

Lake Fork waterfront retreat had wonderful views from every room in the house. The Dock extended far enough over Lake Fork we caught several fish. Birds were gliding over the lake as a nature refuge. We went blueberry picking at a local farm and enjoyed the local culture.

Great Location and Home!

The area is a beautiful neighborhood, and the deer population was a bonus! The house was very warm and inviting for our family. The property is very well kept as well as the dock on the lake. We do plan to rent again for a longer stay next time.

Fantastic Lake House!

Our stay was great! We were there primarily for my husband and son to fish. Being right on the lake and having a dock for the boat were perfect! We launched the boat on the first day and kept it at the dock at night. That allowed my daughter and I to have the truck to explore surrounding towns while they fished. The host was very responsive and check-in was a breeze. The beds were all super comfortable, there were plenty of towels and wash cloths, and the kitchen was well-stocked. There was plenty of room for us to be together and to have our own space. They had a cute little basket of musical instruments and my daughter spent several hours learning to play the ukulele! We also enjoyed soaking up some sunshine while reading on the deck. The neighborhood was nice, quiet and very safe. My daughter and I never felt scared even being there alone late into the night while the guys night fished. Overall it was a great stay and I highly recommend it!

Lake Fork Weekend 2023

Enjoyed our girls weekend stay here Sept 28 - Oct 1, 2023. Check in and check out was smooth. House was clean and nicely decorated. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beds comfy, lots of storage. Plenty of hot water for showers. No designated path but we made our way down to the fire pit and boathouse to look at the lake. Enjoyed watching the wildlife on the back patio (birds, squirrels, deer). Got to enjoy the big beautiful harvest moon. Very peaceful and serene. Think you and friends or family would enjoy a stay here too!

The house was very clean and inviting. Spent our 26th anniversary enjoying the quietness and nature. Loved the fishing...caught 4 catfish. Wanted to catch more, but who doesn't. Would recommend to anyone wanting to get away for some peace and quiet. We will be back soon with our 3 boys and mother-in-law.

Lake Stay

Our family enjoyed our time at this home. The inside is clean and decorated nicely. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet as well. We got to see mama doe and their fawn, and several little bucks, right in the yard. You can tell the outside of the home is in the process of getting some new fencing and updating, so I hope we get to come back for a visit and see the finished product. Very peaceful.
