Recommend it to anyone visiting Cornell University. Hotel is only 40 minutes from the university, clean, light, modern and bright. Only shortfall is that it is lacking an elevator, so request for a first floor room.

Very good got money

First - the young girl at the front desk was amazing!! Very pleasant and helpful. We were going to a concert and arrived before check-in time but she was able to find us a room. Room was very nice and spacious. Bed was pretty comfortable. The only complaint was the shower. It drained very slow. And the shower height was great for 5’4” me but not so much for my 5’10” partner. He kinda got hit directly in the face while taking a shower lol. Overall very good and would return definitely.

The hotel is so old. The pool is very small and right next to the highway. The hotel smells so bad. The smell hits you as soon as you enter the hotel. Breakfast is limited. When I was checking in, the lady that assisted me was very nasty and passive-aggressive; not hospitable at all. She made the room key expire after 1 night when I was booked for 3 nights as well. I had to go to the reception to make another room keys for the remaining 2 nights. The hotel shuts off the AC at night when people are sleeping. They shut off the AC 2 times at night for a period of 30 minutes or so each. This caused me to sweat throughout the night. This is a two star hotel at most.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable . Outdoor pool was nice , only a few chairs around the pool though . The free breakfast was minimal and not great. The coffee maker was broken the first morning but was fixed by the next day. There was eggs and bacon and bread . Waffles were pretty good! No yogurt or danish available . 2 apples in a bowl the first day and one banana the second . The orange and cranberry juice tasted like a powdered mix . It was a reasonably priced hotel for the area and the weather was great so we enjoyed our weekend at Watkins Glen !

The room was not clean. For example, the shower curtain was moldy and not washed, the walls in the bathroom had visible dirt marks and also moldy, the furniture was super dusty, the shampoo and lotion was already almost 1/2 way empty. Thank God I had my Lysol spray and wipes.

The hotel served its purpose as a place for me and my daughter to stay while my son was getting married over in Watkins Glen. It was generally very quiet with only a couple yet typical disturbances of other guests closing doors too hard or talking while walking down the hall. We are from Texas and didnt know what to expect. The room wad generally clean but beds were much softer than expected, almost as if cheap mattresses were used. Nonetheless the confort didnt pose as much problem as we expected. My one disappointment/complaint was the lack of an area near or adjacent to the checkin desk that had cold drinks/snacks/quick meal/toiletries available for purchase or that could be added to the hotel charge. A Laquinta Inn we frequent in Mesquite just outside of Dallas has always had that service. Granted there are soda machines at this hotel in the hallway. I guess its a matter of this service being made available at the front desk to all guests is what would have really sold it for me. Otherwise a nice hotel
