They charged a higher rate so they did not honor the rate. They took a long time 15 minutes as he frowned at his computer to somehow over ride the agreed upon rate and charge about 15 dollars per room extra I was too tired to fight it. I wish I'd just told him to forget it but he already charged it. Not good.
Room was ok. Very dated hotel. I would recommend going straight from the vehicle to your room. Do not linger in the parking lot. We didn't have any issues, but we knew to remain aware of our surroundings. Check in staff were very friendly. Bed was comfortable, glad we brought our own pillows and blanket.
My stay overnight was comfy and secure.
Prompt serbice at tbe front desk. There wasnt any shampoo for the shower.
we booked this property specifically for the pool for our kids, it was clean and the kids enjoyed the pool. my husband and i werent thrilled with the fact that the pics on the website were not the same as what we got. the bathroom was smaller than advertised and we feel we were mislead about the whole property. housekeeping never came to our room and we had to fight to get clean towels and toilet paper. our door handle was broken and it took 2 days to fix it, along with our shower handle.
If all you want is the basics, that is what you will get here. The staff is friendly but there are no extras or perks in the rooms. No coffee maker, no mini fridge, no hair dryer. The continental breakfast is coffee, Wal-Mart muffins and juice boxes.
Very reasonable price, and allows pets (most importantly :) )
There was a big gap between the door & frame. Had to stick a towel in it. Blankets had burn holes in them. Pillows were like sleeping with out one. Cops were in the area 2 times during the night.
The room itself might be a little outdated, but it seemed clean. Toilet and shower were working great. There was no shampoo and hair dryer. Breakfast was a thermos of coffee and some doughnut holes from Walmart. That was very disappointing. The surrounding area was a little run down. Nearby restaurants were the Waffle House and Cracker Barrell. Overall, you get what you pay for, but the advertised breakfast was a straight out lie.
When I arrived at the hotel, the manager stated that he had no more rooms with 2 beds even though that's what I reserved online. After 30 minutes and me threatening to call booking agency the manager came out and said that he "found" a room for us! Crazy experience. Room was old and dirty! Will never stay there again!
Overall, my experience was good. No issues or problems. Decent quality for price, but an in-room microwave and fridge would be a plus.
the room when first walked into was nothing but smokey. then the lighting was very bad, bath room had ceiling peices falling in and was taped. The shower felt like a fireman hose being sprayed at you. To top everything off we had people that seemed to be living there not staying overnight.
I canceled everything once i opened the door and see the place. Is the worst i have ever seen. I went to a different hotel.
Easy on, easy off from the highway. Bad part was thin walls...late at night there were people taking in the parking lot and doors opening & closing (all rooms are streel-level adjacent to parking lot). Didn't find any HBO as listed. No TV channel listing, no phone, no clock, no pen. Posted breakfast 6:00-9:00 a.m. I didn't see any from lobby, and since they only had regular coffee (no decaf) didn't stay for breakfast. Staff doesn't offer any information; you have to ask. Stay here only if you're looking for a cheap bed & bathroom.
pool was out of service
The place is rundown and the room was dirty. The furniture was broken and worn out. There were dead bugs in the corners and on the shelf above the hangers. The bathroom fixtures were hanging away from the wall. The bedspreads had cigarette holes in them (in a nonsmoking room) and stains. The room was disgusting but since we needed a place to stay in the area during a busy weekend we didn't stayed two nights. The breakfast consisted of grocery store bagged miniature donuts, bananas and mini muffins.
good value for the money, good location. it was what i needed.
the room they gave us had a nasty odor and we had to scrub the tub before we could use it. the room had working fridge and microwave and the staff were very nice, but the room was in need of housekeeping.
My trip was to visit family who live nearby. Because there was a NASCAR event at Dover Raceway, I was forced to book at this hotel because the other more upscale motels were full. The first turnoff was at check-in where I was required to furnish my driver's license so that they could make a copy despite the fact that it showed my SSN. There was an unexceptional free breakfast but no other amenities that I could see. All room doors open to an outside sidewalk. You must negotiate a six?inch step up to enter the door, and there are no warning signs. Of course I landed on my two knees and my nose when I entered the room for the first time. The bed sheets were too small for the mattress so I would find myself on the bare mattress in the middle of the night.
