Such a lovely place, it’s been 5 years since our last visit and the new Deluxe Villas are just wonderful. The staff are great and the food is lovely. Recommendation, book the deluxe room, and ensure you book a dinner in the beach.
My wife and I stayed for 4 nights and had an excellent getaway. The hotel staff are more than helpful and the location is ideal. Recommend getting a villa on the beach near the water sports complex as it’s only 35 steps and you are in the ocean. Snorkelling is great as is the hotel menu. Make sure to go to the Monday night band as they are awesome. This is a spot we will return to every few years as it’s perfect.
The resort is a peaceful and beautiful place to relax. It was quiet but many activities are available if wanted. The snorkelling was great, just off the beach. A picnic lunch on a nearby island was a highlight as was a sunset cruise. The location as well as the staff, are the major assets of the resort. We thoroughly recommend The Havannah.
The resort is beautiful and well managed. No children allowed, which makes it more peaceful than many other resorts. Swimming is much better than in the resorts by Vila and the lagoon. The rooms are comfortable and well planned. The cocktails left a lot to be desired, but the food in restaurant excellent. We did not feel the need to go and eat anywhere else over the four days that we were there.
The Havannah Vanuatu is simply a dream resort. The staff are amazing and nothing is too much trouble not to mention the food was simply superb. We stayed in the lagoon view room with pool access and the view to wake up to everyday was second to none. It's was my Dads 60th birthday and we couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate it! 😀 There is a lot to do if you want to (or not) with paddle boarding, kayaks, snorkeling equipment and more. The evening sunset cruise was great with drinks provided and a 90 minute sail around the harbor. We took advantage of the beach picnic on Moso island which was substantial and delightful. We will be back for sure!
We stayed in a lagoon room for five nights for our honeymoon and we absolutely loved our experience at the Havannah. The staff are lovely and room was beautiful and clean. Our favourite things were the boatshed full of kayaks, Sups, hobie cats and snorkeling gear at our disposal and the picnic drop off. We wanted to hire a car one day and this was arranged by hotel staff to be delivered to us the next day. Nothing was too difficult! Overall our stay was wonderful and we would definitely recommend the Havannah to others. We hardly saw other guests (in a nice way) even though it was busy and it was totally relaxing while still having lots to do. One thing please management noting the information you provide states that the Havannah wants to be an environmentally friendly as possible. Please please please get rid of the plastic straws you put in the morning juices, cocktails etc! Use paper straws or reuseable aluminum straws instead. You have a turtle sanctuary across the bay from you which is educating about the un-necessary use of plastic. Millions of single use plastic straws end up in the beautiful waterways of vanuatu and that is what we all go there to enjoy! Thank you Zoe
Myself and my partner spent 6 nights at this hotel at the start of October and I am counting down the days until we can go back. My partner arranged the trip as a surprise (it was my birthday and we got engaged while we were there) so he went off the amazing Tripadvisor reviews and we were not let down. We received a friendly welcome when we arrived and were shown to our beautiful, spotlessly clean, modern villa. It was well designed and very comfortable, and had absolutely everything we needed for our trip. The one very very small negative was that the water pressure in the shower was very weak which made it difficult to wash your hair, and the water would swap from hot to cold on occasions. Breakfast was the best meal of the day with a varied menu and such a beautiful setting looking over the sea. We were lucky enough to see a dugong swim by on our first morning - what a welcome. We only ate lunch once as we were so full from breakfast, but as a vegetarian the lunch menu was much better than the dinner menu (By the end of the trip I asked if I could order from the lunch menu at dinner, which I could and this greatly improved the food options). The meat and seafood options were great for my partner with the only negative being how overpriced the food was - but you expect this in such a beautiful resort. Even though the hotel was full we often felt like the only guests there. We spent the week relaxing on the beach taking advantage of the free water sports. We had a picnic on an island, enjoyed the sunset cruise and also had a lovely birthday meal on the jetty. We had a lovely stay and I would definitely return here in the future.
My wife and i recently stayed at Havannah for the fourth time, we spent another relaxing week there. Unfortunately we did not get to meet the manager Daniel as he was called away but his wife Joanna looked after us very well. It was good to see familiar faces again such as Phil,Vivian,Anita,Cathy,Merrilyn,Lily and Madeline also some new staff members. As usual we stayed in a lagoon villa which was comfortable and clean and meals in the restaurant were excellent. The staff are some of the most friendly and obliging people you could ever meet, we are already planning our fifth stay for next year.
Just spent an amazing week at The Havannah for our honeymoon. Right from the start everything was spot on and what you would expect from award winning resort. Started our week off in one of the garden villas which are nice and private, then decided half way through the week to treat ourselves and up grade to a waterfront villa which was beautiful with amazing views. Nothing was a problem for the staff and were always pleasant and friendly and knew your name from day one. Had a couples massage which was great as well. Used all the free activities which includes snorkelling, kayaking, paddle boarding, hobie cat and sunset cruise. Great dining onsite and two other restaurants nearby which are within kayaking distance during the day or have a pick up service at night. Would of liked to have stayed longer, will definitely be back one day.
My wife and I spent a week in a Waterfront Villa and had such a great time we have booked to return next March. The whole place is very picturesque and relaxing, however there are plenty of activities on offer if you desire some action. The snorkeling was some of the best we have experienced and right out the front of the villas. The waterfront villas are well designed and spacious, you never feel cramped. We ate at the resort the whole time and have nothing but praise for the variety and quality of the food. If you want to eat out there are a couple of nearby restaurants you can arrange to visit. As others have mentioned the staff are fantastic.
