Just returned from a 10 day getaway to Le Lagon, this time with 4 other families. What an amazing trip. Since my last trip they have made some improvements to the pool which was great to see. We had an excellent time with all the kids on the lagoon with the water sports. We were hosts on this trip and the staff certainly helped make us and our guests feel extra special especially as our guests were first time visitors. The food tasted so fresh and the children loved the wide selection. We certainly enjoyed some adult time as the concierge was kind enough to arrange nannies to care for the children and give us some down time to enjoy a quiet dinner. Until next time thank you to the staff at Le Lagon.

We chose Vanuatu for a tropical island intimate wedding and a chance for our kids to experience a different culture. Our family of 10 stayed at the resort for a week and had a wonderful time. The resort offers a great range of activities for everyone. The rooms were clean, food and beverages good quality, and it was easy to travel out from to explore some spectacular places around the island. The resort itself sits alongside an amazing lagoon which we kayaked, swam and snorkelled in as well. Naturally there was also some time spent enjoying a few drinks by the pool and at the resorts restaurants/bars... Our wedding was exactly what we had hoped for and more! Everything went to plan from the preparations beforehand, perfect weather, beautiful setting, a simple ceremony, food excellent and the entertainment was incredible. The ceremony itself was held at the deck overlooking the lagoon and we were able to negotiate a few simple changes to personalise it for us. We hired a cultural band and the fire show, and both groups of performers included our wedding group into the performance. We definitely recommend hiring some of the local performers as it certainly added to our night. The staff from the resort organised everything and went out of their way to ensure that we had our special day. We cannot thank them all enough, especially our wedding organiser Annie! If you recognise differences in culture and that for some staff English is their second or third language, a little understanding and patience goes a long way. The staff are super friendly and kind people. The Vanuatu experience, including the wedding, through this resort was perfect for our visit.

The locals would do a better job in the hospitality sector if they were properly trained, perhaps. I don't want to blame them, because I don't think they know any better. The communication is very poor, confusing and hard to manage. The staff often don't know what is going on and the message from a customer gets lost... You could order your lunch by the poolside and be served the wrong food almost an hour later, and there's no point being upset or angry with the staff, they don't care either way. They will simply take it away and then MIGHT come back another 20 mins later to enquire how you liked your meal... When you tell them you've still not had it, they go away again to find out why... The room service people are again not trained and don't speak much English. I had to ask them EVERY DAY for the same thing (not to touch our belongings on the table) and yet things were moved every day. We lost 2 pieces of property and they were never found. With all that said... 1. we loved kayaking in the pristine waters. 2. we loved the peacefulness of the grounds. 3. The resort is beautiful, clean and welcoming. 4. The pool is big and clean (but could be warmer) 5. The food is very expensive and not that tasty. 6. The tiles in the pool area were super slippery and a few people slipped and fell, injuring themselves. 7. The massage ladies can be hit and miss. We would probably come back one day, because I think this is the best Vanuatu can offer.

This resort is perfect if you have small children. Great kids club, kids eat free and plenty of space for them to run around. Pram accessible everywhere as well. I wish we’d come here when the kids were little. For teenagers also good if they like golf and tennis. It would’ve been great if they had some way for the teenagers to meet as there were only a few and given kids are quite awkward at this age they didn’t meet any other kids and were really wanting for company. We had booked interconnecting rooms but unfortunately there was a mix up in our booking. We were offered room 326 which was one of the ones with a private pool. Very private, king sized bed...awesome. If you’ve got the cash to book this it’s amazing! We had this for two nights before being transferred to two adjoining rooms. We probably could have just used the one room (2 adults two kids) but having an additional bathroom and a bit of privacy was worth the extra money. So one room had two doubles and the other a double and two singles. I’m glad the kids didn’t have to sleep in the single as the mattresses were sinking when we sat in them! I think it’s time to invest in new ones! The gardens are lovely, so much room and very peaceful. I made use of the gym to work off the cocktails, basic but fine for this type of resort. Slow service, but who’s in a hurry on holiday? Food average. Vanuatu is very pricey - pretty much Australian prices, Fiji is much cheaper. Massage awesome make sure to get one. Weather was cooler than I expected and windy but no one can help that. If it was summer it’s worth getting a lagoon view room to get the breeze and the view is great as you walk out directly onto the grass from your room. One thing about this resort is that since it’s close to Villa people tend to leave the resort to do activities so it is quiet which is fine during the day but zero atmosphere at night. This was disappointing. Make sure you try stone grill restaurant (not too far away) and if you’ve got little ones and are prepared to go 20 mins away K2 kitchen has a great play area great kids meals and huge variety - run by Aussies.. We never would’ve known about this place if it weren’t for expats that took us there. One other thing- locals told us to be very careful with our belongings. Petty theft high and females should not go out alone at night. I almost booked irikiki but so glad I booked this resort instead.Irikiki looks like it’s remote on the brochures but is actually on the opposite of Vila harbour and I was told not to swim there as the harbour is very polluted and your nose will tell you so too! So Warwick gets the nod in this regard. Visit the blue lagoon and turtle bay and waterfall it’s so beautiful.

What a lovely way to spend a holiday away with family and friends. The hotel is wonderful. The rooms could definitely do with a revamp, and the cleaning ladies could do with a masterclass on cleaning but overall a great experience. Rooms - if you are lucky enough to get a queen or king size bed, good for you. Double size seems to be the done thing though, so be mindful and make sure to ask. Cleaning - the rooms were made every day and cleaned'ish also. Under the beds were not swept and behind the toilet door was not cleaned either. It was nice having a drink at dusk outside the back sliding doors and if you are lucky enough to have a lagoon view room, a drink out there would be beautiful. Pool - the pools were lovely. A kiddie pool, a spa and 4 ft swim up bar pool and a 1.8m deep pool. The spa was nice because the kids could just sit in there and chat BUT, the jets did not work and they all ended up with a viral infection around their mouths that needed cream to clear up (so probs wouldn't recommend the spa). I did not spend alot of time at the pools, but the amount of time that we did, whether it was morning, afternoon or early evening, i didn't see any of them being water tested once. Breakfast - YUM< YUM YUM. Nothing more to say then a great variety and plenty of it every day. Staff - the staff were lovely but a little on the "vanuatu time" side of things. If you want anything in a hurry, do it yourself, if you want something organised, do it yourself.

Just arrived home after one week at the Warwick, a bit of a mixup at checkin and it took over 4 hours to fix however worked out in the end. Service is a little slow in some areas but over all this was a great family resport for the children they loved going to kids club and this gave the prarents a great time to catch up, the school visit the children & parents that went said that they had a great time and was a good experience for all of them. The grounds are great and would certainly recommend to anyone that wanted a good reasonably priced family holiday. Easy to get to down town walk to outside of resort and catch local bus a great experience for the children.

Stayed here in a Garden-View room on an all inclusive rate as part of a work trip. I thought the room was great, Aircon worked well, TV had decent amount of channels including the rugby word cup on. Shower was a bit funny but who cares. Food was fantastic and generous. Service was very nice and as they were busy sometimes things took a while but that's just the way it is. Facilities were great... heaps to do... beautiful pools. Not to far from the downtown area. About 15 to 20 mins from the Airport. I would stay here again for sure! Be sure to check out Cascade waterfalls & Blue Lagoon for day trips... really beautiful!

Although the rooms were very clean they are dated. The provision of towels etc was very hit and miss. Sometimes 2 towels and nothing else, other times towels, hand towels and bath mat. No replacement of body wash or soap I found a cleaning staff member and asked for a replacement only to be told they had run out!!! We ate at Wild Ginger and were so disappointed we had a table for two and were close to the teppanyaki bar so were covered in smoke/steaming food not nice at all. Ridiculously overpriced! The food was so ordinary we both had fish - overcooked and Asian greens also overcooked. Certainly way overpriced for what we received. We ate at the lounge bar and the salads and pizzas were nice. Mary in the lounge bar was exceptional a lovely person and excellent at her job. The pool was being repaired so we had a lot of noise from the equipment along with a lot of dust. We did feel that the stairs around the pool were a little slippery and steep. We did play golf a few times and had a bit of fun, its not a championship course but enjoyable all the same.

We stayed at The Warwick for 7 nights in September. We were part of a large family group utilising 3 waterfront bungalows. Our stay was overall wonderful but there were a few hiccups.... so for Australian travellers expecting the level of service and food available in Sth East Asia, be aware that Vanuatu is very different, but also lovely and relaxing! Rooms: 4 stars. Spotlessly clean but older style and dated. Room cleaning staff were wonderful and did a great job looking after us. Linen felt lovely. Resort itself: beautiful pools, bars and watersports. Tennis, billiards and ping pong were great too. Didnt play golf. Just ask if daily activities seem to not be running - everything on island time! Food: Wild Ginger was fantastic and pool bar pizzas and a la carte also fresh (5:stars). Teppanyaki at Wild Ginger was fantastic. The nightly buffet was loved by some in our group... but 2 of us were really ill with food poisoning for part of our trip. Avoid mayo / tartare sauces at buffet - i was complacent from usual travel food rules and soon regretted it (1 star). Facilities at resort: 5 stars. Fantastic pools with great swim up bar sections. Good variety of drinks and food at pool. Great activities and equipment. Things run on 'island time' but just ask. General service: 3 stars. All staff friendly and tried hard, but service sometimes disorganised when ordering food and drink. But give a smile and accept island time! Would we return ? Yes, but i would avoid nightly buffet and just eat at Wild Ginger.

We spent the last week at Le Lagon and had without doubt one of the best holidays ever.Today as I write this I find myself completely re-energised after several very busy months work wise. I have our experience at Le Legon to thank for this. We arrived to torrential rain which had apparently been the case for at least a week... We had a further 24hrs of it and then the sun came out and all was refreshed and beautiful. For the tragic souls whining their way out after a week of rain..I’m sorry but you can always find something to do that’s lovely in a place like this. And the bugs and snails and other such interesting creatures appear. The flowers come out and the island fragrance abounds. Now...the garden view room was very nice with a lovely private view out over other accommodation and down to the lagoon itself. Fresh, clean(always)and cool or warm whatever was required. Thank you Janet for always making up our room so it looked immaculate. Nothing is ever an issue to these lovely people..but I will tell you that manners are vital,a please and thank you are most welcome and that is how to make your own stay very successful. Rude guests are not appreciated. The security provided is outstanding. Also discreet but not invisible. Reception staff were always welcoming and again nothing is an issue,Thank you so much. The main restaurant was also good. Fantastic breakfast every single day! The gorgeous lady that cooks the omelettes makes a darned good one too! The wait staff are all fantastic, absolutely no complaints at all!thanks to you too..you all know who you areXX We said goodbye all quite sad to be honest. Perhaps don’t do the buffet every night and try Wild Ginger as it is fabulous.the Santo Beef soooo good! As is pretty much everything on the menu. A simple wine list and not terribly cheap but some good varietals all the same. There is a great little menu for Pikininis(kiddies) And the bar and pool menu a great variety of tasty bits in generous portions. The whole property is very well maintained and this is done constantly. Part of our package was unlimited golf incl.clubs for both.. Husband had a great time at his chosen sport...I did what I do best and went shopping! Also included was a Lagoon Lady cruise at 4 in the afternoon. Two very informative guides and about 1.5 hrs so we could go to the start of the Lagoon and watch the sunset. This is something that if not included is soo cheap it’s a must do. The boat was absolutely fine and totally appropriate for a small interested child, unlike a previous reviewer who stated that it wasn’t. We had a tiny little chap(about 3)on our cruise who was so excited and interested to be there it was a delight. But then parents/grandparents who interact like this family did with him don’t usually cause an issue. My only thing that I feel I should say is if you are after a break away with not too many kids around then choose your time of year carefully,as there were quite a lot of kids there who’s parents take them out of school well before the holidays as it’s cheaper. Where we live this is not really allowed so hadnt considered this. I could go on for hrs really but the only thing I’ve missed I think are the beautiful pools and dead tasty Mojitos! Thank you for a wonderful holiday,we will be back soon.
