We were please with this choice. They have a nice swimming pool that looked lovely. We arrived late and had to leave very early in the morning. They were happy to give us our breakfas in our room the night before and the security guard was a great help getting us a bus at 5am. Would be happy to stay here again. The room had a nice view over the harbour.
We had a lovely room next to the pool. We were holed-up there during cyclone Cook and the hotel took great care of us and kept us informed about the storm and flights. All email correspondence prior to the trip was great.
Lovely position looking over harbour. Close to town for shopping and restaurants. Had a good pool and bar area. Meals were good value. Rooms clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Could always get a bus without waiting long.
Had to be in Vila for a meeting, as my favourite hotel was full I booked with Kaiviti. I will not do this again! The evening check-in clerk requested to pay 100% upfront on arrival. The 9000vt/night un-renovated room has a bumpy old bed and run-down bathroom, but hey it was advertised as unrenovated. The big ugly surprise came the next morning when breakfast was served at the pool area. It cost's another 900vt for the 'continental' bowl of musli or weet-bix without any fruits (only plastic decoration fruits here). The table offered only toast with cheap jam as an alternative. And nasty instant coffee to go with that.. I could complain about other things as well but keep it short; This place is a disgrace for Port vila, Vanuatu, other places in this price class have fabulous rooms and service, with a fresh local coffee to match. Stick to the other options if you want to enjoy good service and pricing.
Room was clean with good views and had cooking facilities. It was spacious. Many of the room have been updated . However this is refelected in the price. The swiiming pool was great with a bar and good meals at reasonably prices
The staff were friendly, and the room comfortable and spacious. Even had air conditioning! ita short walk to L'houstelet restaurant and there is even a bit of a casino next door. Short taxi trip into town for more food outlets etc. The pool area is nice but the pool side bar and restaurant service needed to have its game lifted - inexperienced and unconfident staff wasnt helpful to us or fair on the staff concerned.
Stayed for a few days on a business trip. It reminded me of motel stays in my childhood in Australia - in a good way, a sort of familiar and simple lifestyle. Comfortable and clean room, comfy bed, wifi was pretty good. Quite liked the soaps provided, would have loved a few more toiletries as I had forgotten to pack shampoo etc. Arrived very late at night and departed very early in the morning and was pleased that there were no issues with getting into the rooms so late at night. Location is good, easy enough walk down into town and also the supermarket nearby is good for picking up drinks and snacks. The pool was just being refilled at the start of the stay, so would not have been able to use it for the first day or two. Breakfast was just ok - often not much of the fresh fruit seemed to be out, the juice would be running low and while there are pastries (e.g. croissants - although very Vanuatu, not French style), these had to be requested specifically from the staff at the counter, along with butter. I think the prices are probably reasonable for Port Vila but that Port Vila prices are a bit high for accommodation in terms of value for money.
It's a little Motel with a small pool but for the value is very good. It's clean, it has kitchens inside the rooms and refrigerator, and the service is very friendly and nice. It can be busy at times but in the evening everything becomes quiet.
Stayed here to attend a meeting. This was a great experience. The motel in general is great Australian standards. Very nice and clean. The staff are understanding and very supportive. Rooms are self contained with all basic cooking facilities. Plus its walking distance to the City and the Big supermarket and the other eateries. I would recommend it for a stay definitely.
I stayed at Kaiviti as part of a group for 3 weeks. The staff were all beautiful people who were very considerate of our needs. Our room was cleaned and made up daily and the bar staff were lovely. The pool area was always clean which was perfect for our daily Arvo swims. It's close to the supermarket and a short walk to the town. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the room was very home like. It made staying there for 3 weeks a pleasure.
