Booked this for my daughter and boyfriend. They loved it. Would recommend. Only slight downside was the guy in reservations not being clear on the policy of paying for other guests as I booked through booking.com, but we got there in the end after booking.com spoke with him. If it wasn't for that, I'd give it 5 stars.
Stayed here for three nights with my wife, and we enjoyed it. Good location and Edinburgh isn’t that big so you can walk everywhere. Friendly and helpful staff, especially the guy who brought us room service. Good breakfast buffet with many options. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the spa. Crowded (not the hotels fault of course), a bit pricey and really nothing special with a bunch of different saunas.
Great weekend stay in that hotel together with daughter. Absolutely lovely welcome, perfect service and support whenever bneeded, helpful going out of theit way to serve you. The location is ideally situated to either go to new city first and return via old town or the other way around. all within great walking distance. Marvelous comfort, super breakfast, exclelent dinner place too (scottish!)
A very nice afternoon tea. It was not the best I have ever tasted but it was lovely. We wanted to have more sandwiches but the waitress was not sure we can have more although the kitchen was not yet closed. To our pleasure, we were accommated with more delicious sandwiches. The tea was also complimentary to our scones, sandwiches and muffins.
Came for NY dinner with colleagues. Had pre booked 6/12 months ago. Could not believe our eyes when we were given a table in the lounge outside the restaurant making it obvious that we are being treated differently Eventually on our insistence we were moved to the main Resturant. We are all professionals (medical) and such discrimination beggars belief in this modern day at a 5* hotel !!!!
Superbe location in town, amazing staff and extremely clean rooms. The beds are the best in the world. No kidding you won’t want to get up for you day of sightseeing cause it’s so comfortable. Highly recommended, great gym and spa! Would 100% come back!
Just about the best htoel we have ever stayed in anywhere in the world! We thoroughly enjoyed a 5-night stay at the Sheraton and EVERYTHING about this hotel is 1st class. Kudos to Lukacsz (our concierge) and to Sharon who checked us in. We were pampered and taken care of at every step of the way. The castle view room we stayed in on the 6th floor was amazing and we enjoyed our daily full Scottish breakfasts in the One Square restaurant every morning! Sad to leave and we will be back. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! Thanks to this wonderful hotel for making our Edinburgh vacation so wonderful!
Well this one might look a preferred option while booking but the service & facilities r nowhere close to a 5star. Matchbox rooms and bathrooms, housekeeping sucks they dont even make ur beds till like 6in the evening and have to be reminded to do so. The breakfast service sucks again withe staff being ever so unpolite and at times rude. All in all for the price paid this one definitely doesnt make it up there. If u have better options please take them as this hotel does not match any other sheraton or spg hotel standards :(
We arrived early in the morning (7.30 am) and the hotel allowed us for early checked-in. The room is spacious, modern and clean. Bed is very comfortable. This hotel is centrally located, most of tourist attraction can be reach on foot. We didn’t have the chance to try the Spa as we have been busy with the sightseeing around Edinburgh all-day. We will definitely come back if we visit Edinburgh in the future.
We recently stayed at the Sheraton for our anniversary. Overall the hotel is pretty good, great central location, nice decor, finishings. We had a Castle View Room which promised well but unfortunately was let down by the fact the castle was not actually lit up at night (not the hotels fault of course) when we visited so no “brochure view”, but we also had to suffer with looking into a temporary music venue erected in the square directly outside and opposite the Usher Hall, a bit low key for the location we thought! Regrettably breakfast was let down by relatively poor quality bacon and sausage in an otherwise good buffet. Being this central it was of course not cheap, but I’ll give them a pass on the overall package as we had breakfast included. Enjoyed our stay but would try somewhere else next time!
