Perfect for families

It was exactly what we were looking for. It was close to the ski resort and had plenty of room for everyone (4 adults & 6 kids).

Family Ski Trip

Modern Mountain Escape fit our family very well and had room to spare. The home was clean and comfortable, we enjoyed the close proximity to Purgatory and were able to use the free shuttle ride to the mountain. We will definitely stay here again.

Easy check in-check out. Home was well stocked, and very comfortable. Shuttle service up to Purg was fantastic! Would stay there again!

Even in a time of little snow, we had a great time in Purgatory! The house itself was nice and newer and had all that we needed. The house was well equipped for cooking meals as there are not many restaurants in the area. The hot tub on the back porch was utilized every night! And the kids loved the ping pong table in the garage:)The real star of the show was the shuttle system to and from the mountain! It was so easy to get back and forth. We never had to wait more than a few minutes and they pulled up right in front of the house which was amazing when traveling with 5 kids. Be sure to download the Purg App and sign in so you can call the shuttle!Would definitely stay again if retuning to Purgatory!

Great stay in Purgatory

This is a great place to stay for family and friends in the beautiful ski town of Purgatory! It is located directly across from the entrance to the ski resort. The town house is newer and beautifully furnished. It is well stocked and very clean. We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay again!

Such a Great Stay!

We went up to Durango with friends and their kiddos and had a great time. The property was clean and so cute! It is close to Purgatory Resort and Twilight Lake, so lots of great activities super close by. We didn’t have any issues and would recommend for a trip up to the mountain, loved it!

Family friends trip

We had a fantastic time at this house. We had three families stay here with little kids. The kids loved having two living rooms to play in. The ping pong table in the garage was fun for the kids and adults. We had quick and easy access to the purgatory resort and there is a park that was a short walk away. This was a memorable trip for our whole group!

Great location

Just a short shuttle ride to Purgatory. Our family enjoyed our stay. Home was well equipped (just short on TP and paper towels to get past a couple days). Sound does travel, but the rooms were comfortable and the space was perfect for kids and adults. Overall a nice place in a great location.

Great location

Beautiful property and location to purgatory skiing. Clean and well done. The bunks are not made for teens only small children and the pillows and beds could use some help but we enjoyed our stay.

Great stay

Beautiful and well maintained house, with beautiful views and fully stocked with all your vacation needs. We had a wonderful stay, very convenient to purgatory ski resort just across the road. Hot tub is a big bonus. My only complaint is that the bed in master bedroom was very hard. Otherwise an amazing stay and would definitely recommend!!

Perfect Ski Getaway

This was our 2nd year at this property and it does not disappoint. Walking distance to lifts, easy shuttle transport, beautiful views, well stocked, and very comfortable. Our large group of family and friends had plenty of room to relax and we enjoyed the hot tub after a full day of activity. The property managers are friendly and attentive. Communication is easy and efficient. Highly recommend!!

Great location. Nice property. Inly complaint is the quality of the mattresses in all of the bedrooms. Not comfortable. Shuttle service was a plus.

Amazing and Beautiful

This property was even more beautiful and comfortable than advertised. We had great communication with the management company. Shuttle is easy to get to and from lifts but honestly it was so close some of our group just walked. We had a group of 9 and had more than enough room for all. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed ping pong, foosball, and the beautiful patio. We will be staying again!

Good and bad things

Property location was great and check in was easy. Views from balcony were really nice. Very spacious for the family. Laundry room was very convenient to have. Bad things, sofa and pillows were full of dog hair and so were bed covers. Coffee maker did not work either. Jacuzzi water was warm but heat was not able to be adjusted and jets and lights did not work.

Spring stay at Purgatory

Overall, very good. Some things for the owner to consider: Dishwasher works very poorly. We ran it 3X and it still would not get glasses and bowls clean. Master bed mattress is AWFUL. Far too soft, sinks by 8-9 inches in center. Master bath towel holders need to be tightened. Table needs more than 4 placemats. Front walk needs gutters--it drips far too much

Amazing views and location!

Absolutely enjoyed our stay! Perfect place to wake up to a light snow fall every morning and enjoy the views over sips of coffee. Purgatory ski resort is right across the street so you can literally walk across the street and catch the lift up the bunny hill to the main lift/ticket office. Just a short 5 or less minute walk. The house was clean and very well stocked with all kitchen appliances. The hot tub was well kept and clean. Heated up fast. We had 10 adults staying so the sleeping situation could be improved for adults. There’s only one king and one queen room, the other two rooms are bunk beds or single beds. The pull out sofa is definitely not useable. We brought a blow up mattress instead. But, overall we loved our stay and would definitely book again. Thank you!

Great Location, Good for 1-2 Families

This condo is a great location for skiing and beautiful views. Most everything is new, so still nice, however it probably won't last very long. The laminate on the floors is already starting to peel. The hot water only comes upstairs, downstairs is difficult to get hot water. The hot tub is very nice, but please make sure to ask them to have it on for you, it took a day to heat up. There is only one bathroom with one mirror down stairs, which is quite difficult if you have a lot of adults sharing the house. The three main bedrooms have decent mattresses, but please make sure only kids are sleeping on the bunk beds or pull out couch, because these mattresses are super thin and very difficult to sleep on. All the doors squeak and make it very difficult to not wake everyone up in the morning. Overall this is a good home for 4-6 adults and the rest kids, but nothing more than that. Awesome location and beautiful views!

Excellent accomodations, across road to Purgatory Mountain base, can walk to the slopes, excellent view of mountain. Unit is very nice, very well equiped and comfortable. Loved the views, the deck, fireplace, game room for kids, and the hot tub was a big hit after day on the mountain. Only issue was only 2 full bathrooms for a unit that sleeps 10 is not enough. We will return.

Family Thanksgiving

We had two groups next door to each other for a family gathering over Thanksgiving and had one of the best trips!! Perfect location for skiing and hiking. We really enjoyed the area and all of the accommodations at both properties! The management team even got us access to the amenities at the resort for an additional fee, so we were all able to workout during our stay! We will definitely be back!!

Labor Day Getaway

The Modern Cabin was beautiful just like the pictures. We did have an issue when we arrived. After a long 8 hour drive, we were ready to unpack, cook a nice meal and relax, but turned out the place was still uncleaned and not sanitized. We had to call the owner and she had a difficult time locating her clean up crew. So we cleaned and sanitized the kitchen completely as we waited for the crew. Four hours later, the clean up crew showed up and were there till 10 pm. We had to tell them to leave because it was late and we finished drying and folding linen. The laundry room had a horrible smell because of the linens that were left in there from the previous visitors. I didn’t appreciate having to clean before settling in or having cleaning crew while we were trying to relax. We weren’t even offered a discount for the owner’s mistake. I thought she was irresponsible and unorganized.

Great place for a large group!

This place was awesome! Plenty of space for a large group of people, really clean, fully stocked with kitchen equipment, and has beautiful views.
