The hotel is nice and the staff are very good. The only thing that has let them down is running out of certain drinks in the bar. On my last visit I had to go out and buy tonic water as they ran out and on this occasion they ran out of Vodka which my colleague was drinking. Need to improve on there bar services but the staff make up for the short fall.
Hotel check in was breeze. I arrived at 1pm and they had a room ready for me. This hotel is in a great location and I loved the amenities that were included such as a big hand soap dispenser attached to the wall and then a big dispenser of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel all in one. Added to that are little complimentary bottles of lotion, shower gel and shampoo. There wasn’t much counter space in the bathroom though. Now, for the cons- the mattress was very hard and I had a rough night sleeping and woke up with a sore neck/back. We were put on the 2nd floor and apparently windows are thin so we could hear people talking outside late at night. And then of course, we were awoken by LOUD construction noise. Apparently the next building over, they’re doing major construction and our room happened to be closest to it. Imagine awakening up to that at 7:30am. I wish they would’ve placed us in the opposite side of the hotel! WiFi is very spotty but you can upgrade to a higher speed if you want. The staff was really nice.
I did like my very short stay at NH Dusseldorf, good bed, rather good breakfast, convenient location, very nice staff. Most of all I liked morning Nespresso in my room, bright idea, honestly, and also interior design - very unusual but comfortable. View from the room was not so good (construction of big new building) but it's small matter. Thank You, hope to back some time.
The NH in Dusseldorf Konigsallee was perhaps the 4th or 5th NH property I have stayed in, and had it not been for positive experiences in the others, this would have been the absolute last time I ever would stay in a NH property. The room was small, located on a lower floor facing a busy street, and on the night we checked in there was a music festival just across the street. As an elder couple, it would have been much preferred to have a room that offered more quiet. Nonetheless, this issue was the least of our dissatisfactions. The desk clerk was insistent that I leave my car keys at the desk "in case of an emergency" . When I asked what would constitute an emergency, she replied that it might be necessary to move my vehicle if it were improperly parked. I said, let's go look at how the vehicle is parked and make a determination if it needs to be repositioned. She became indignant and when I asked to see a supervisor, she said, just forget it. The most unsatisfactory aspect of this visit was the parking itself. Suffice it to say that in all of my travels which include all fifty of the United States, and fifty-nine foreign countries, this was the absolute worse parking condition I have ever encountered. I think I am being generous in these remarks. Thank you.
Very high prices for an average hotel. The property does not have a fitness centre either, and the reception gives you a token for a fitness centre that is 200 m down the lane. Taxis refuse to ply from the station to the hotel due to the short distance. Sometimes, the taxi drivers at Duesseldorf Hbf are impolite to the extend of being rude, as if it is the guests fault that he/she is booked at the NH. Room size is also a bit cramped. The view is poor. Avoidable, at best!
Good hotel and location for both business and pleasure. Short walk to the Aldstadt for meals and drinks and alsovery close to all transport to get around the city. Some shoddy looking hotels around the vacinity, but this one is a well known brand and as expectied it didnt let me down. Will stay again
Stayed in this hotel when visited Anuga! Around 15 minutes walk to railway station, shopping street Konigsallee is around 5 minutes walk! Not so far 2 nice restaurants - Japanese and Italian! About hotel - more or less good, no gym or pool! Rooms quite comfortable, breakfast good! Wifi works very different!
Not so convenient at the price being charged. The hotel is awkwardly located, too far for a walk, and too near for a taxi to take you there willingly from the Hbf. Infact, taxi drivers are sometimes rude when you ask them to drive you to this property. So, be sure to carry your umbrella if you are staying here. Plus, the property does not even have a fitness centre, for people who prefer to start the day with a workout. You can get an access card from the reception to use the fitness centre nearby, but it is very inconvenient.
I stayed for four days and enjoyed my stay. The hotel is clean, the room was perfect, the staff are friendly and the breakfast selection is excellent. Very convenient location as well. A positive experience.
Hotel is situated in great location with number of restaurants within easy reach. Transportation is also ideal with taxi stand just outside the hotel and tram very close. Also walking distance for main shopping centre. Rooms are very clean and spacious. The only drawback was that no air condition or cooling system was available and since we stayed in August the rooms were slightly warm. On enquiring about the air condition we were informed that it is not available however the receptionist offered us a fan - which we had to carry to the room!!!! Other than that we recommend this hotel.
