I thought the staff were the best thing about this hotel, particularly the way they treated my guest who has a gluten allergy. There was gluten free bread for her and the manager at each meal took the time to take her around the food and explain to her what she could and couldn't eat. Also, our flight arrived late in the night and they had a cold antipasti dinner waiting for us which I thought was very thoughtful. The hotel is nice and very easy to get to the old town by bus or the free bikes (if you are all inclusive). If you are all inclusive bear in mind that it is light all inclusive, I would have been really disappointed if I didn't know this before I arrived.
We had a week break here on an all inclusive ( light ) for a week. We were very impressed with the hotel at the price we paid. Our room was a little on the small side but it very clean and tidy. We did not spend much time in our room as we were out every day. The pool area is nice and it's right on a small pebble beach. I was a bit concerned as to the standard of the food before we arrived mainly because of the price we had paid. However the food was excellent with plenty of choice. Wine and beer were available at meals. It was drinkable but nothing special (to be expected at the price) They do give you a free packed lunch if you are out for the day There is a bus that goes from outside the hotel (number 6) straight to Old Town. Buy cheaper tickets from the store in reception. We loved our stay in Dubrovnik and we are glad we found this hotel. It is well worth it’s 3 stars
We were offered this hotel because our original hotel was overbooked and only had a few weeks till we were going. The hotel itself is clean, modern and nicely decorated. Double room with sea view nice and quiet with garden view also. Food bit overbooked at times and warm but not bad choice. Comfortable bed and modern facilities.Pool big but too cold to swim in . Pool area spacious but bar drinks expensive. Water front just behind the pool and you can walk for miles. Unfortunately the waters edge all the way along was littered with bottles, bags and rubbish. I think it's a shame because there's little boats and jettys and would otherwise be lovely. The cruise ships come along this stretch of water and they are lit up at night looking fab. On the whole Dubrovnik is well worth a visit but expensive. Bus to town takes about 10 minutes and cheap enough.
This hotel is a very good three star property situated on the Babin Kuk peninsula. If you are lucky enough to have a sea view room, the views are fabulous. The room was spacious but the wardrobe space was cramped. The bathroom was very small with a walk-in shower. There was no bath. The hotel is very clean and housekeeping is excellent. The food also was excellent. Great choice and very fresh and well presented. The restaurant was sometimes very crowded, but somehow there was organised chaos! Reception staff were polite but unfriendly and I felt that there was an invisable barrier between me and them. I have not experienced this before in most other hotels I have visited, which I must confess, were 4 or 5 star properties. That may make a difference as to the service given to the client. I felt that a minimum service was given in this hotel and I stand by that. You are very much just one of a number in the Valamar Club
Me and my friend stayed here together for 4 nights. We were very impressed by the facilities and food at the hotel for the price we paid. Our room was very clean and tidy and we paid extra for a sea view, which is definitely worth it. The pool area is nice and it's right on a small pebble beach. The food at every meal was extensive and had a great variety of meats/fish and everything in between. The only issue we had with the hotel as it claimed it was all-inclusive, which in my opinion it was full board. All food and drink were only free in the restaurant, all other times you had to pay. You were not even allowed to fill a water bottle to take with you. They do give you a free packed lunch if you are heading out for the day which is nice. Buying drinks etc. is very expensive in the hotel, if you just want a water or a coke I would recommend popping to the local shops in the complex as they are a great deal cheaper. The entertainment was terrible but we were one of the only English people in the hotel so I don't know if this is aimed at a different audience. There is a bus that goes from outside the hotel (number 6) straight to Old Town and you can get cheaper tickers from the store in reception. We had a fantastic stay for the money and would recommend as a pit stop for anyone wanting to stay in Dubrovnik.
Good hotel overall.. Just a few things let it down.. we went with our 6 month old baby, Reception. As we got to the reception we was meet by a very unfriendly older man that was no help at all, was pretty much just given a key and thats it. the next few days there was two woman and they couldn't do enough. Room. the rooms are clean and very nice basic but thats all you need, no cot was offered and the wifi was patchy at best off on off on. room cleaned every day and towels changed as well. hotel. very nice hotel, big pool and the beach isnt so much a beach, more like rocks.. the food was good and fresh lots of choice. the location of the hotel is on a hill but once in the hotel there isnt much stairs pretty flat. I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Thank you good people and let the good God save you !! Dejan
A good standard and value in a great scenic location, especially convenient if you wish to visit Dubrovnik. The Jet2 package we had included all drinks with meals, so good value all round on our 5 day break. The surrounding area has a very pretty coastline with lots of islands to explore. The sunsets were beautiful.
Spent a night here during my visit to Dubrovnik. Great location approx 5 minutes from Copacobana beach and just over 5 minutes to the number 6 bus which will take you to Dubrovnik Old Town. The food at breakfast, lunch and dinner was varied. Breakfast there was hot and cold food and drinks. Lunch and dinner there is a fish section where the fish is freshly fried along with the pizza and meat section. I found that there was something decent to each for each memeber of my party of 4. The bedroom was standard for a 3 star, clean with flat screen tv, free wifi and toiletries were provided. I did find that the toilet was too near the wall so not the easiest to sit on. Overall it suited our needs and would recommend. We were on an all inclusive light basis so this included breakfast, lunch and deening meal with local wine, beer and soft drinks included. Any other drinks outside of this you will have to pay mor for. There are some shops just over 5 minutes walk away but not very varied, If you want more choice it is better to go into Lapad. This hotel is near the harbour so provides pleasant routes for walking. Durbrovnik itself is quite hillly so those with mobility needs may find it difficult walking around Dubrovnik.
Two of us had a very good two week holiday here, we stayed on the All inclusive light option which meant drinks were available during lunch and dinner. The hotel is in a lovely location with excellent views across the sea from the peninsula to the mainland. As it is not near a main road it is very quiet. The food is good with ample choice at every meal. Lunch and dinner have the option of an outdoor grill offering freshly cooked fish every day. A pizza oven cooking fresh pizza during these two meals is another option. The hotel is very clean and all the staff we had contact with were pleasant and helpful. Marko the grill chef was particularly friendly as we enjoyed his cooking every day. The pool area to the rear of the hotel offers excellent views across the bay. Pool towels are available daily. Entertainment takes place by the pool except on colder nights where it takes place in the inside bar. A pleasant walk from the hotel goes along the waterside to the marina and cruise ship Port. We did not buy tour operators excursions as they are cheaper to purchase in Dubrovnik. The 3 Island boat tour is cheapest bought directly from the seller on the beach front at the Coral beach club located just below the hotel. Bus tickets are best bought from the supermarkets about 300m away in the shopping centre on the complex, 12 Kuna per single journey into the old town. Buses are very frequent and stop right outside the Pile gate entrance to the city. A Dubrovnik city card is certainly worth considering as all museums and attractions have entry charges, the card offers 'free' transport on local buses too. This hotel offers a great quiet relaxing holiday on the outskirts of the old town. It is just 3 star but still good value overall. We had no complaints apart from one very minor one, the picnic lunch option, for use on excursion days is very poor and lets the hotel catering down. A minor point as I say, and if corrected I'd have no issues with this hotel at all. I'd happily recommend this hotel to anyone staying in this area of Croatia.
