It's clean, the workers are nice and it's in a decent location, what else can you ask for?

quiet area but close to city center. Excellent breakfast. Room ready when we arrived jet-lagged at 10 AM!

Our window looked on a metal building, we expected better based on the cost of the room.

Nice hotel. Staff good. Room clean but carpet a little date. Shower could use some re-grouting. Worst part of the room was a flashing light on the smoke detector over the bed. Truly annoying.

Nice hotel. A bit out of the way. Quiet at night.

The hotel is very well located, very clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The bar would benefit from an update. Overall I would be glad to stay there again.

This is a quaint, old style hotel off Merrion Square. Very well located for visiting all the museums and Grafton Street and directly across from The Ginger Man, a friendly pub serving up some delicious food. The reasons it was not a perfect stay: no washcloths, no hair conditioner, the bathtubs are weirdly very narrow on the side away from the tap making for a very uncomfortable soak if you are any thing larger than average. They say they have 24 hour room service but if you want anything past 10:30pm when the restaurant kitchen closes, you will have the choice of a very sad ham or chicken sandwich and that's it. The fish and chips from room service were good but the mushy peas seemed to be from canned. Also, dual taps and beware the VERY hot water. Overall, I enjoyed my stay despite the minor bumps. The staff were friendly and helpful I was able to check-in early from my flight that arrived at 5am. I think if you come prepared and know these limitations it is a very nice place to stay.

I was extremely impressed by everything about the O'Callaghan Davenport. A beautiful exterior a modern, spacious, clean, and comfortable room with many amenities and a simply incredible location. I would highly recommend it.

Nice hotel at a good location. Reasonable priced. Clean and excellent customer services.

The hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. the room was larger than expected, clean, comfortable bed, and quiet.

Lovely hotel for a couple. Quiet area but in walking distance to great restaurants and central town. Big room (compared to European hotels at least) and a comfy bed. We loved our stay and wouldn't hesitate to book there again.

This hotel was the first "railway" hotel and is supposed to be haunted--no ghosts for me but it was really great to stay in the historic property in such a comfortable bed. If you are coming from the London area and taking the train to catch the ferry to Dublin, I highly recommend staying here and exploring Chester as a side trip.

When my husband and I stayed at O'Callaghan Davenport, the hotel was under construction but we were impressed that it wasn't a nuisance. The staff was friendly and very helpful especially when it comes to giving pointers to local eateries and points of interests. The location was perfect: it's near Trinity College and Temple Bar area but far enough that it was not as crowded and noisy as Temple Bar. We had great time and would recommend O'Callaghan to our friends.

Have stayed in OCallaghan hotels before always a great value. The Davenport has the charm of early Dublin. The dark woods and rich colors are rich. The beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms with pedestal sink was spacious and the shower had a good water pressure. The breakfast room had a good variety of foods and hot food was hot!! The President's Bar served good food and a strong drink . Staff were welcoming, friendly and a good resource for finding local activities. The room was quiet. There was a lot of construction going on in and around Grafton Street so the advantage of this location was that it was well within walking distance to Trinity College at the top of Grafton, Pearce station was just around the corner a block away. Didn't spend daytime there as we were out and about, but would reccomend staying there. Enjoy!!

For those looking for a hotel in a quite neighborhood setting within a 5 minute walking distant to the bustle of downtown Dublin. There were 2 local pubs (O'Donoghue's and the pub across the street) that make you feel like a local and have the best fish n chips, also a local start up with great sandwiches and a fine line of local start up brewery beers in bottle's. The room was comfortable, clean and had all that this traveler needed. I will stay the next time I am in Dublin.

Staying at the ocallaghan davenport hotel was great. It iepitomized all we'd thought of Ireland--friendly, comfortable, clean, wholesome, and solid like the sherry Netherlands of New York in the 50s. Location couldn't have been better.

Very happy with the size of the room, much larger than expected. Had a queen and twin size bed, sitting area and still had room to move around. Was able to walk to many of the things we wanted to see and short cab rides to the ones we did not. We will go back to this location again.

We got a great deal & stayed for 3 nights. Walkable to everywhere. Staff was awesome.

The hotel is very nice and the staff was very helful and friendly. The only criticism I have is that the hot and cold water faucets are separate and that makes it difficult to wash hands and face, but it seemed to be that way in a lot of places in Ireland. Also, the parking is not very close and costs. On the whole though, I reccomend this hotel - good location and very nice!

Staff was great, very friendly and helpful; especially in helping sign up for the PAID wifi which was problematic, expensive, and very slow :( Not their fault. That's on management! Management: Offer free, competitively-performing wifi if you want more goodwill -- your staff is working hard to cultivate it; what are you doing to help them? That's the question a leader asks.
