My husband and I were only in Dresden for about 18 hours but our stay in the Courtyard Marrioitt was one of the highlights! The staff was super friendly, our room was very clean and as vegans we had plenty of options at the breakfast buffet. We also enjoyed that the pool and wellness area was open until 1 am! One of our favorite things was the juice machine in the bar area where we could make ourselves a nice freshly pressed juice in the morning!
I stayed in the Marriot for a number of weeks in October. The hotel was clean and tidy and well situated in Dresden. The rooms were well maintained and serviced. There are great facilities from swimming pool to sauna as well as gym. Car parking is easy which is nice. The most positive aspect of my stay was the friendly and helpful staff. I especially would like to mention Julia at the hotel reception for been so professional, diligent and pleasant to deal with from my arrival and to my departure. Thank you so much! 10/10 :)
I stayed at this hotel for two weeks in August, and every aspect was excellent. The breakfast had a lot of variety, including delicious, organic options. They had honey for your loose leaf tea from a real honeycomb! There is an excellent indoor pool and good gym. It was quiet, and there were bikes right there for usage. It is just a 10 minute bike ride to the city center or a quick single tramride. The neighborhood is hip and cool! Visit the Military Museum-free on Mondays after 6pm including headset. Start on the top floor and work your way down-amazing! The Marriott Courtyard staff was capable, efficient, and super pleasant - American customer service from start to finish. Bravo!
I thought the hotel was very good value. It was clean and had the amenities I needed. Breakfast had a good selection and was reasonably priced. It was a flying visit, I didn't see any of the area but would stay again.
We had a 1 day stay at the courtyard Marriott. Arrived late after a long bus ride from Jena, and Julia the front desk person was the best possible greeting we could ask for. She was friendly, happy and helpful. She took an absolutely practical approach to our requests (changing room type, late checkout) and we appreciated all her help. She provided us with maps, recommendations, tram passes and instructions, and just was as helpful as can be. Just her smiling cheerfulness was enough to help us decompress and get us re-excited for our Dresden detour. The room was super spacious- a real luxury in Europe. The bathroom was a bit dated- but very clean and functional. The room layout was perfect, and the tv was large and clear (compared to the tiny tv's I've had in other hotel rooms this trip). The location was perfect for neustadt. For Alstadt, be prepared to take the tram 10-20 minutes, or walk an hour.
We had a perfect stay in the Courtyard in Dresden. It's only 10 min away from the city centre. The pool area is small but its all you need after a full day of sightseeing in Dresden. The breakfast was nice and they had breakfast till 12 o'clock on Sundays ;) When we will be in Dresden again we book the hotel a second time
Very nice room very clean and also very quiet. Very good linen bathroom was also very clean. The room is quite big .It is very close to the tram to go to city. A few restaurants nearby. We did not have the breakfast included.
We are faithful Marriott customers, and, when visiting Dresden (with four people), we chose this Courtyard (previously Court Inn). This hotel is well off the beaten path, so you have to walk about 100 yards and take the public bus (they do sell the pass at the front desk), so there are no restaurants or anything around. We got two rooms since each only held two people (connecting rooms with one queen and the other with two twins). The room itself was fine. The A/C left much to be desired as it is a unit installed at the top of the room, and getting the room cool enough never happened. The front desk personnel did their job, and that's about it. We didn't feel really welcome except from one young lady there (can't remember the name). What made my blood boil was that my husband went down the night before we left and asked a man to reserve a minivan taxi for us the next morning (lots of luggage and a grandmother in a wheelchair in tow). When we got down there early, a regular car was waiting for us. We told the woman at the front desk he had specifically come down the night before and told the man what we needed. She had no record of it and didn't seem to care. After much discussion and her telling she couldn't guarantee to get someone there (remember, it's well off where taxis would not be), a minivan did show up. Fortunately, we had come down early to make sure we had time or we would be stuck. I just couldn't believe the front desk personnel really didn't seem to care or have an urgency about them to get it resolved. That picture they show of the gleeming building with the large gleeming building attached next door (it's a pub or sorts) made me think it was a different hotel than ours. If there was somewhere closer to city center you can get, I'd suggest that.
All you expect from a well run quality brand like Marriott. Easy accès to city. Parking, AC, indoor pool, good breakfast, bike rental service. Rooms are modern and comfortable. Service is friendly and professional.
We stayed here on our way to Poland. From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spotless and quiet. It is a good location--easy to get to Old Town. The breakfast is wonderful. We will stay here again.
