Torine House

Wonderful B&B; Wonderful Innkeeper

Getting away from Dublin for a trip to Western Ireland, we stayed four nights at the Torine House and enjoyed it immensely. Katherine was a gracious host who not only ran the premises, but also prepared breakfast (continental or Irish Full) for each guest, would arrange tours of The Ring of Kerry, and also was kind enough to hail us a cab. The inn itself is up the hill from Central Killorglin, a small town that is not too far away from Killarney. We hadn't rented a car and were concerned about walking up and down the hill, but it turned out to be a nice walk; only about a five to ten minute walk from the bus stop (in front of the Tourist Office and the library) that had routes to Killarney and Tralee.

Milltown House

Cozy Bed & Breakfast w/ Friendly Hosts

My friends and I stayed one evening at Milltown House and wish our time there could have been extended! Milltown House is clean and well-furnished, and we were able to enjoy the company of the hosts and their two giant Irish wolfhounds. Also, the view in the breakfast lounge is beautiful and we had THE BEST scones. The location of Milltown House is wonderful because it is only a short walk to the middle of town and right on the edge of Slea Head Drive. With advice from our hosts, we drove a portion of the loop and were able to hold a baby lamb and hike to a secluded spot on the edge of a cliff. Milltown House was our favorite accommodation during our entire trip to Ireland, and we hope to be back!

Barr na Sraide Inn

Peaceful stay in Dingle

On the main street but up the road a hundred meters, so it's peaceful. Rooms are clean and bigger than many. The town is great, especially if you are looking for access to at least several pubs with varieties of traditional Irish music.
