It’s an old printing house that was converted into a hotel but smelled nice everywhere I went. The decors were from the Container Store. But there are signs that showed the age of the building from the small lobby to the baseboard. However, it has the facilities that a Marriott has, like the small store for quick meals, water, coffee at the lobby, and a small breakfast area. It doesn't have the contemporary feel like in the newer townplace suites in other cities.
The staff are very helpful and were very welcoming. There are a variety of decent restaurants nearby, but no shopping or convenient stores around for a bit more grocery shopping. I always love the fact that they have a real refrigerator and not a small one and a microwave to heat up my left over foods that I brought back from the conference, which was a 30-minute walk away. However, the neighborhood felt safe since their mostly residents walking their dogs at night and a lot of them work at the Denver Health building in front of the hotel and is actually across Denver Health’s guest parking lot. The vacant parking lots at night seemed to be worrisome. I would say take caution when walking at night.
