We arrived by train from Anchorage and the Crow's Nest Cabins was there to pick us up in their shuttle and take us to the cabins. Check in was smooth. Front desk staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They gave us a ride on the golf cart to our cabin so we didn't have to tote our luggage up a hill. The cabins are cozy and comfortable and a bit rustic, but clean. The hot water is usually consistent, but it sometimes comes and goes as you're taking a shower, but definitely manageable. They have happy hour from 5-6pm each night and serve free glasses of wine. Very nice to just sit and relax with a nice glass of wine and enjoy the view! They have shuttles running to the bus depot at Denali park every few hours so if you don't feel like walking to the park, you can catch a ride there, but we ended up walking back since it was only about 1.5 miles on a paved bike path. There is a restaurant onsite called the Overlook, but if you want to dine elsewhere, you can just walk down the hill to the boardwalk and find some local eats for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We ate at Prospectors Pizza which was at the end and had a great meal. Highly recommned staying here! We enjoyed our experience and would definitely go back!

Had to park at base and get a golf cart ride up to your room.

The young people taking care of the lodge were very hard working and took good care of us. The breakfast left a lot to be desired— no tea, few condiments, salty eggs, no cream for coffee.

For the price we pay and amenities we get do not match. No complimentary breakfast or microwave in the room. Where should I start, the road to get to the hotel is in terrible state. The room does not have a Air Conditioner, forget about AC , they do not even have a fan in to room. I had to go to the front desk and ask one. Please think twice before you book. Looks like the management is east bothered about the amenities. With limited option available near the park I choose this place. Advice to the management: Please invest the money on improving the property. old cabins does not mean authentic or charming.

I changed to this hotel because they had HBO and my previous hotel didn’t. I needed to watch the Game of Thrones series finale while we were in the great outdoors! They just got Amazon Firesticks and made it soooo easy. The beds were very comfortable and it was really nice having a little cabin all to ourselves. The staff was amazing. I’d love to stay here again!

Only down side were the beds were a bit too soft for me. However, some people like it that way. Other than that this place was a great place to stay. I liked it better than the Princess, which was a $100/night more!

Thank you for your feedback. It's a Catch-22 being on the side of the mountain - you get beautiful views, but it does require a bit more effort to get to your cabin, which is why we provide complimentary transportation upon request.
