They woke us up to view the Northern Lights. I was so grateful because it was on my bucket list! And they were so very helpful in trying to figure out what excursion to do. We ended up flying over Denali and it was the most perfect day to view the mountain. I completely recommend this place

Beautiful location and the room was very nice!

Very, very thin walls. You will hear all of your neighbors. The room was nice, view was great. No recycling available.

I like everything, I like a comfortable moving with shuttle.

Beautiful place, comfortable hotel, friendly staff. Very comfortable moving with shuttles. Thank you very much.

Good

Stayed in the mountain view rooms and they were nice and clean inside, spacious. Only complaint I have with the room is another that I read from others prior to booking - noise! The entry to the rooms in this area is motel style, entering from the outside on decks, which may have been the cause. I don't think the guests in the room above us were able to sleep because each night, all night, it sounded like heavy pacing and furniture moving! Aside from that, no complaints on the room. We took the train in and it was a great perk that not only was there a hotel shuttle, but also that our luggage was delivered directly from the train to our room so we didn't have to deal with it at all (which was great because the hotel is on a mountain side so there are lots of hills!). When leaving, the hotel also took care of getting our bags back to the train for us. Their shuttle delivers to the train, to their sister hotel futher up the mountain (which has a resturant you may need to visit) and to "downtown". "Downtown" really just means to the bottom of the hill/mountain you're on because there is no downtown. There is a collection of tourist info and gift shops, a subway and that's pretty much it. Eating options are SLIM. Everything was closed or reduced hours due to covid in one way or another, lots of staffing shortage signs. There was only one place to eat that we could get to, The Overlook. It was great food, but make sure you make a reservation or you won't get in!

Beautiful place! Highly recommend it.

The views are spectacular! Shuttles to downtown and to the train station. The restaurant was GREAT and the service was wonderful. No complaints. Good bed and hot shower! Would stay there again.

The property setting was beautiful. Room decor was nice and appropriate for the location. Staff could have been a bit nicer. Only issue I had is my credit card being overcharged at the on site restaurant. I am still trying to resolve this issue.

My family and I stayed here while visiting Denali National Park. The views from the room were amazing! The Hotel is close to the park and there is bus service to the park as well. It's a great place and would definately stay here again!

Do yourself a favor and stay here. You won’t regret it.

The facilities were recently updated. Endearingly rustic and cabin like, but with hotel amenities. Great hair dryer!

The hotel is actually in 3 parts with the Bluffs section being the oldest. It's the closest to the front office and shuttle pickup making it ideal for elderly or handicapped. The rooms were nice and spacious with great views but they are starting to show their age a bit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. If arriving by train, they pick you up/drop you at the station. They also handle all of your luggage. You just need to tag them for the hotel when checking in your luggage on the train. The front desk will provide you the tags when departing. The shuttle buses to/from the Park and the Town were very easy to use and great if you don't have a car (which we didn't). We actually just missed a pickup and the staff was able to radio the shuttle to stop a wait for us. While we walked to it, a staff member drove my father to it in a cart which was very nice and extremely helpful. The onsite restaurant and coffee shop were both good and very convenient. There are several places around the hotel and restaurant to sit out and enjoy the views which also have outdoor fireplaces.

View is great but room is quite small. We stay at first floor so we can hear foot step and quite noisy upstairs.

Beautiful spot and nice room. Our bags were “missing” for hours after our arrival (with our rain gear in them on a rainy day). Finally my husband spotted them behind the front desk staffer who said she had no idea what happened to them. We stayed here for dinner due to the rain and the meal was aweful (smoked chicken so tough and dry I couldn’t cut with a steak knife!) and expensive. The wait staff was attentive and friendly though. We did arrange for a gluten free sandwich bag to go for the next day from the deli there and it was delicious. So overall, the place is clean and pleasant. Just walk the brief way into the village center for meals. The Brown Bear Cafe was GREAT for breakfast with delicious gluten free pastry options and fabulous coffee drinks.

Very small room and the sink is in the entrance. Wouldn't want to be in there for too long.

Amazing views from our standard two double bed room. Lovely amenities, restaurant on site is very good, didn't use the convenience store. Staff was all new, as this was the start of the season, so service was very disorganized, but staff was willing and helpful. There is a shuttle bus to take you to the miniscule shopping area and to Denali. Parking is limited and there is a hike to get up and down to the units. Well worth the price

Very nice. Stayed in newly constructed rooms.
