During my Tour of Alaska and the Yukon we stayed here for a few nights before going back to Anchorage, to be fair the room was alright, quite spacious, clean and tidy, unfortunately this hotel will be forever associated with my helicopter trip being cancelled, at the start of this Tour I stressed that the main thing I wanted to do was the helicopter trip where you landed on a Glacier, I must of been there over a fortnight and the only time it snowed was the day of my helicopter trip, I understand that certain things are out of peoples control but my tour guide didn't even attempt to rearrange it for me, ruined the whole trip which had been pretty uninspired anyway. Nothing to do with the Hotel but I'm reminded of the disappointment when writing the review. There is a steep road leading up to the Hotel, down the road there are shops and restaurants, I was going to buy a Totem Pole but all the stuff in the souvenir shop was made in China, there was a supermarket type place and a Subway. There was actually a better hotel overlooking the one I was staying in, there was a shuttle that would run you up there but I'd recommend the walk, got some good panoramic photos up there. I didn't like that the hotel didn't do room service.
The hotel was very nice. Within walking distance of shopping area about half mile away down a steep hill. Bus transportation was very good but stops running to Denali Park early so watch the ride schedule. We got stuck at the park one evening and had to hitch a ride from another shuttle to local restaurant.
The hotel staff are very helpful, though this means you can't carry your own luggage to your door. In a rainstorm, this meant our spent a while in the rain and arrived wet. The hotel gave us breakfast vouchers to make up for it, which was kind. They also provide everyone with a little gift bag of touristy items - lens cleaner, hand cleaner, magnet, postcards. The rooms are a mix of lake cabin-like décor. Rooms are a bit cramped, but beds are comfortable. Very convenient - most tours pick up right at the hotel. Can be a lot of walking depending on how far up hill you are housed.
We stayed here for two nights.Location wise it’s near railway station Denali.Transport was available to bring the customers from railroad to the hotel. Its a beautiful surrounding here, one can see hill tops beautiful flowers on lawns, hotel rooms are beautifully placed up and down hills. All facilities for comfortable and satisfying stay are available. There is scope for much improvement on food front by making more varieties of food available for various types of customers. However overall management is good and caring and helpful. It was a satisfying stay for us.
We were in an end room in the new section that opened up in June 2017 and really enjoyed staying in such a comfortable and new room. The receptionist and bellman and staff who assisted us at our arrival and throughout our stay were extremely nice and helpful and made our 3 night stay for our 38th anniversary a very memorable one.
This hotel has lovely comfortable rooms, rocking chairs to relax in after a day out in the mountains and a very comfortable foyer. Reception staff were very helpful on arrival and helped us plan our activities. There is a free bus to run guests back to town and back or it is a short walk down the hill.
I stayed here with my family and friends. Very nice hotel, updated and clean. Receptionists and baggage handlers were really nice. We were in their brand new building with amazing mountain views (just no views of Denali/Mt. McKinley, it was behind other mountains, unfortunately my family was expecting views of Denali/Mt. McKinley). The air is crisp and fresh. We stayed here for 2 days and both days it was about 89 degrees and high humidity. I didn't think we'd need the rooms AC, but we did and it worked great! They have a shuttle service that brings you to their other resort, Grande Denali Lodge and they also bring you to 'town' which is close enough to walk to, just a lot of downhill/uphill walking. Town is nice, a small strip mall with souvenir shops, places to snack and eat, excursion/rental companies, a gas station and some ice cream shops.
My husband and I spent a couple of days in the Denali Park area and stayed with Denali Bluffs Hotel. We traveled to the area by train and were met at the train station by hotel staff. The transfer was seamless, we felt very well taken care of by this team. Our hotel room was ready and sparkling clean upon arrival. The room was large and comfortable. We enjoyed the onsite restaurant and coffee shop during our stay. The transportation was a nice amenity, but we chose to walk into "town" and walked into the park for a tour on our second day. The hotel is very centrally located, not a hard walk to any of the shops or to the river or park entrance. The grounds are nicely landscaped and the area around the hotel even includes a short hiking trail. The flowers are beautiful in and around the hotel. On our first day in the area, we were picked up at the hotel for the Denali Tundra tour. The coffee shop had a nice selection of sandwiches and grab n go food to take on the tour and were very nice to remind you that the snack box on the tours were not always enough for 8+ hours. Overall our stay was perfect. Thanks for your hospitality, we would stay with Denali Bluffs Hotel again.
This place was nice enough but the steps were too much. Plus there are places you have to walk on a slope. I saw several people struggling with this. The food at the hotel is terribly expensive even for the area. It is called a hotel but the room is accessed from outside which i would call a motel. You cannot smoke on the balconies.
Brief stay at a very good hotel. Beautiful large rooms with large beds and very clean. An excellent restaurant is available with a nice selection of food. Food quality was good, drinks were very good. Fair price and excellent service with a great view.
