A little like the motels we used to stay at when i was a child, you know the type where you pull right up and unload your car...this worked great for me as i was traveling with my Great Dane. Room was clean and comfy, new furniture and bedding, fridge and micro....all the comforts of home, there is a pool but it was closed for the season....a shame because it was in 80's every day i was there! the people were really nice, they put me in a room very close to the grassy area, and tried not to put anyone next to us if they could help it. all in all, a very relaxing and pleasant stay!
Nice room. Bathroom clean, and water pressure good. Staff kind and very attentive. Check-in was quick. Express check-out nice. Quality for price was excellent. Breakfast amenity awesome. Free with good selection and taste. Phone button to call office did not work.
Everything on the ground floor. Older property, but spacious rooms. Beds were fine, pool was outdoors. This hotel is actually right off the Ohio Turnpike, so if you need a close place to stay, this would be a good location. My friend who stayed with me was disappointed in the value for the price.
When I first arrived the hotel was of the old style where you drive up to your door, and the sign and parking lot need attention. I was at first hesitant, but pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room, it looked like it had been recently been upgraded and the bed was on of the best I have ever slept in. I do plan to return to this hotel in November on a return trip from Chicago. The outside my look dated and the parking lot in need of repaving, but the room and the sleep I had was very good.
Spacious location, easy access, very good mattress. that's where the positive ends. it's next to a motorway, so it's quite noisy. the room stank of stale smoke and not the someone-smoked-the-night-before smell: the stench that comes from smoke soaked up in old carpets that haven't been cleaned by spraying airfreshener at it. breakfast was as described on the website, but everything turned out to be poor quality and tasted either bland (waffles), chemical (orange juice) or was off (pancakes were sour).
The motel has changed ownership in the last year. In that time the quality of EVERYTHING there has gone down. Most of house keeping don't speak English and getting a service is frustrating at the least. Our room phone never worked the whole stay. I've stayed at this location off and on for years but there is a Holiday Inn a few hundred yards south. STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK
Nice throwback-style property (it really is that old, but it's still "throwback") along the Ohio Turnpike. Not surprisingly, an old property does show its age in some places, but it is hanging on. Decent room with comfortable beds; only complaint was that TV was incorrectly programmed (brand new; correctable with the right remote, but they replaced remotes with generic ones that could not bring up menu). Service was excellent. Breakfast had decent choices but it is located in a cramped area. Pool looked great. A tad overpriced; better in the $85-$95 range.
This hotel was clean and comfortable. The beds were good and so was the breakfast. The only problem problem was that the information in the room stated that the pet fee was $17, but at checkout I was told that it was $25. The person that checked me out gave me the lower fee, but they do need to update the information.
Very close to the fairgrounds. This is a park at your door motel. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety with pancakes, waffles, eggs, etc. Especially liked the nuts, fruits, etc. to add to the yogurt. Nice outdoor pool.
This room was dirty the hot and cold in the shower were reversed, red stain on wall dirty washcloth left in room from the previous tenant. door outside the bathroom wet. no internet connection. Pool wall crumbling.
