Super 8 Huron SD

My stay at Super 8 was comfortable but the facility just seemed 'tired'. The building is old and needs some updating. The bathroom sink in room 125 needs to be replaced.

Always fun to stay here and visit our son and grand children . Fun time in the pool and attending the kids ball games ! Great place to stay.

Waited 15 minutes for someone to show up to check us in. 😤 Rooms clean, but smelled musty. Ok for one night.

Wifi not great from loose connection on modem. We figured it out ourselves when we couldn't get signal on t.v. Not the cleanest it's ever been when we've stayed there. Hubby said that the continental breakfast wasn't as good as normal. Having said that, it's still one of the best Super 8 breakfasts ever. On a positive note, the front desk ladies are still awesome. So friendly and helpful. We'll give it one more chance on our next visit to Huron.

Room was clean & adequate. I travel for work & am limited to pre-approved hotels. This is the only hotel in Huron that is listed. As usual, this hotel could use some updating. Staff was friendly & helpful. No frills hotel for the money.

The rooms were small, kind of updated, but the repair work was pretty bad (sheetrock and texter repaired above shower was cracked and falling off, poor painting, etc.) All of this was cosmetic. The pool area was pretty nice, besides the plastic stairs to get into the pool, didn't feel too safe. The breakfast was great, and the older woman working the breakfast was adorable and very helpful and sweet. I reserved 2 rooms, asking for combining rooms months in advance, but when checking in, they only had one that conjoined and would cost a lot more because it was pool side, so i declined, but made the saty a bit more tricky for my 4 kids and I (luckily my parents were staying a night there too and were able to help!) The air conditioner worked great bit very noisy. I work up several time when it kicked on, and so did my youngest son. Overall just average, but not bad!

Looks ok from the outside but inside is 10x worse, room was the size of a jail cell, spiders in the bathtub, a.c. was way undersized for even that room as it didn't do anything to cool it down. Room temp at check in was around 100 easy, a.c. full on did nothing, window wide open helped a little but room didn't cool down till about 5am and I had to get up at 6am so got about 1 hour of sleep. Never again.

The room was very musty smelling. It's even worse when the ac unit is running. Husband coughed non stop. Then at 10:30, an old lady totally wiggled out and yelled at my child because he was loud in the pool area. I would advise people to not have a poolside room if you don't want noise.

I will admit it. We are spoiled Hampton Inn guests, but this motel is interesting. First the good things - very economical pricing, very clean, a friendly staff, great indoor pool, good breakfast and well-lit rooms. Our room was small and rather strangely arranged. Air conditioner didn't handle the heat and the controls were complicated. The repairman came promptly but we slept with the window unit running all night. We wouldn't recommend this hotel to the handicapped as there are many steps to climb on various levels. The king sized bed was just satisfactory, but all in all the place was a deal at $90! In the last analysis - a hotel needs are basic: A clean room, a good shower, and a comfortable bed. To that we will now add - good, quiet temperature control!

Fresh biscuits and gravy (and sticky rolls if you prefer) for the breakfast win. Room was clean and affordable. Not fancy by any stretch of the imagination, but it had everything I'm looking for when I'm out motorcycling - clean room, good breakfast, and a hot tub. There's also an interesting tavern/restaurant across the street. On Friday night the only items on the menu were three or four sizes of prime rib. Good dinner at a reasonable price, though. It's an older place, but it's affordable and had very nice people working at it. I would stay here again on a motorcycle trip. Note: My hotel ratings are always for places to stay while motorcycling.
