Great Location!

We had a wonderful time enjoying your beautiful home on the river! It was a perfect location for us as we experienced the College Nationals Dance Competition in Daytona Beach! We loved the views from your patio and the fenced yard was ideal for our dog. Thank you for sharing your home!

was ok

The entry code provided did not work upon arrival, and we didn’t receive a working code until the following afternoon. Prior to our stay, I specifically asked if the fence was secure enough to contain our dog and was told there was only one minor issue—however, we found multiple gaps, holes, and gate problems. The pool also posed safety concerns: a pool light was hanging into the water with exposed wires, making it feel unsafe to use, and the entire pool deck was in poor condition and clearly in need of replacement. Additionally, the area beneath the pool deck was not sealed off—our dog came back with corn cobs and other debris, which was concerning. While the location itself was beautiful, we experienced several issues during our stay. We reached out to the management company but only received a response from maintenance. Unfortunately, based on these issues and the lack of responsive communication, we feel the rate does not reflect the quality of the experience and we would not choose to stay here again.

Great location.

Really great location. Convenient to everything. Front of property is not much to look at and there is an old boat kept in the front driveway, but still plenty of parking. Properly is quirky, with a lot of “do it yourself” looking repairs and additions, but it was still nice and well-equipped. Nice kitchen. Cozy rooms. Great views. Fire pit didn’t work from day one and they didn’t fix it during our week-long stay, which was disappointing since that was one of their main selling points. Dock is sketchy and dangerous and should probably be repaired a bit with more lights added before they let people use it regularly. But it’s usable. I just wouldn’t walk on it at night. Depth at end of dock is 2 ft max, so larger boats with deeper draft requirements won’t be able to dock there. Also, bring plenty of bumpers for your boat.

Paradise in the midst of the storm

We stayed right after the hurricane. The owner was so generous and made sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. He was quick to clean up some debris from the storm and we had a wonderful time. Beautiful sunsets, dolphins, and close to beach, restaurants, and shopping.

Comfortable stay

Property was as described. Beds were very comfortable and thank goodness we had extra covers as it was very cold our first two nights. There. Some confusion over the fireplace insert for heat which we were not allowed to use and the furnace did not seem to provide much heat, but the company did bring over two small space heaters for us to use. Washing machine and dryer worked well. Basic supplies were available but no extras. Very good location, close to everything. Would stay here again

Worst VRBO Rental Ever Experienced

Sunset Palms on Halifax. Would never recommend this property or property management company to anyone. Best part of the house are the palm trees at sunset. House was dirty upon arrival • Rat and cockroach dropping everywhere • Previous guest’s dirty smelly clothes left in dresser Dock unusable due to storm damage and neglect • Missing boards from walk • Screws sticking up from deck • No place to secure boat Yard was not fully fenced with sections fallen down and gates broken open, trash under deck, sheets of plywood covered windows and garage walls making use of kayaks impossible. Heat did not work during cold front Exposed wires sticking out from ceiling fan, many light switches did not work or had buttons missing ****Property Management company contacted with no resolution We are requestion a full refund!!!!

Cozy waterfront home

Our stay was great! The home is very clean & comfortable. Kitchen, baths & beds were stocked & comfortable. The frig did take the first night to cool down & was fine after that. Communication & response was clear. The only reason for a 4 star on Accuracy of property is bc of the dock. So if your boat and dockage is important, youll need to know a few things. The view & location is beautiful from the dock but it is along a fast zone of the Halifax and big boats will roll in Big waves so have plenty of bumpers. Theres NO cleats so tying up was challenging and with the tides, a smaller boat could get caught under. If you want to hose boat down, youll need to bring your own bc the one provided doesn't reach and theres pinhole leaks in it. We made it all work & there are certainly worse things, but people need to know so they're prepared. We did enjoy our stay: the interior, pool, grill and location are a win! If you plan on using the gas firepit, check the gas tank to be sure its full. We didn't do this until last the night. Not a big deal; we should have checked it earlier. We recommend and hope you enjoy the beautiful sunsets!

Perfect place for family trip

This was our first trip to Dallas and this was a great place to stay. It was convenient to downtown and had easy access to the interstate. The property worked well for us as we all had our own space, with the adults downstairs and the 2 teenage boys upstairs. It was so much better than staying in a hotel. The free garage parking was an added bonus. Checking in and out was a breeze. The only suggestion I would make is to install a TV in the downstairs bedroom. I would definitely recommend staying here while in Dallas.

Birthday celebration

Celebrated my husbands 70 th birthday with adult children and granddaughter. House was very clean , two of the bathrooms were pretty small but not an issue. Floor plan was open layout which was good for a family of six adults and a toddler. The fire pit ran out of propane the second day so we sent an email and one was delivered the next day. Biggest issue was the construction of the house literally next door. The weather was great and we decided to spend the day outdoors and utilize the pool and dock however between the noise from next door as well as the mini bulldozer literally moving feet away from the fence there was no privacy. Obviously the owners had no control over the construction but had I realized we may have made other arrangements. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would return again

We visited Daytona for BiketoberFest...House was plenty big for 3 couples and a single rider...only issue was parking for trucks + trailers + motorcycles...with some creative thinking and a super friendly neighbor we were able to work it out...if visiting the area again, I will certainly look this listing up...I just won't have as many vehicles ;-)

Home is still undergoing some repair, overall, it has potential to be a lovely little place to stay with a few minor corrections. The microwave needs to be replaced it will pop the breaker very easily and is a hassle so we just didn't bother using it, the pots and pots need to be replaced, the throw rugs are a hazard as they slide all over the floors (we simply just took them up) vent in dining room does not fit properly and sticks way up as a result someone injured their toe when going to cut the lights on. The grill was absolutely disgustingly dirty and would not run off the small camping propane bottles that we brought with us as stated. The entry code is 10 digits long which was ridiculous. The hall bathroom is so small that some of us had to throw our legs in the bathtub just to pee. The pool guy came on Tuesday morning to clean pool and never came back to remove the robotic cleaner which was still in the pool when we departed on Sunday. Most of these issues are an easy fix. For the cost I expected more attention to the little things. All that being said we mostly enjoyed our stay.
