I made a reservation months earlier for a two-queen suite with a sofa. I arrived on my scheduled arrival day at 2:30 pm, hoping I could check in early because we had to attend an event from 3:00 pm to 10:00 pm. The manager, Misti, greeted us and without even checking the computer, told us she had no rooms available but everything would be available in a half hour - 3:00. That is her right, so I gave her my name and emphasized that I could not return until 10 pm and wanted to be assured my room would be available for me. She typed in my name, found my reservation, and assured me of this. Well, at 10 pm, they checked me into a standard room - not the suite I had reserved. Of course, they were full and could not give me the suite I had reserved. In the morning, I spoke to Misti again. She could not tell me why or how this had happened and the second night of my 3-night stay there would still be no availability to move me into the room I had reserved. I realized that I had to accept this, mistakes happen, but I stated that I expected to be reimbursed for the difference in room rates between the standard room and the suite since I was staying in a standard room. Although being the manager, Misti stated she had no authority to make changes to what I would be charged (I was still being charged for the suite that I was not staying in). She said she would call the owners and call me back by noon. She never called me back, I spend the 2nd night in the standard room, and we repeated the same conversation the next morning. Again, she promised to call the owners and call me back, which she never did, but we were moved into the suite for our final (3rd) night. Checkout morning was a Sunday, and of course, my checkout indicated I was charged for a suite for 3 nights with no adjustment to the prices on my original reservation. The hotel had no manager at all on duty on Sunday!! No one to resolve checkout issues on-site! This was the most unprofessional interaction I have ever had. I called IHG and they are helping with this but I urge everyone to avoid this place!!
Missy and her team work well together. Rooms are clean and maids are very helpful. Stay here often. I have stayed at other hotels nearby and this one can't be beat. Roosters, Texas road house and Wild Wings within walking distance. Keep up the good work guys. Thanks for the comfort. Traveling from S.C.
Stayed here five nights as it was booked thru DOD Preferred Lodging program. Typical "off-the-Interstate" lodging...heavy turnover = heavily worn accommodations! Overall my sleeping room had seen better days as furnishings were just worn out. Quiet hotel for the most part except for the guests in the next room barking dogs! The elevator doesn't have its own hallway, so it is in the sleeping room hallway, so a room in that area could be VERY noisy! Front desk personnel were very nice and friendly. Breakfast serving hours are stickly observed as 5 minutes after 930am there wasn't even a drop of hot water available for tea/cocoa. Attempted to get some hot water during evenings and most attempts were unsuccessful. Waited 15 minutes to tell front desk clerk, but he was busy chatting it up with someone on his cell phone! From this HIE, you can easily walk to TEXAS ROADHOUSE, McDONALD's, CHIPOLTE, KROGER'S and a movie theater.
Several years ago while working in the area, I frequented this hotel quite regularly. After not visiting for three years, I am disappointed to report that the hotel has gone down hill! The exterior (parking lot) was full of litter. The elevator floor was dirty. I could not get the fax machine or the printer to work. The Fitness Center is extremely small. lastly, the coffee was lukewarm at best! I had to take the coffee back to the room to heat in the microwave. I'm not sure what happened to this place but I will consider other locations in the future!
Continuing home so i stayed here. Front guest clerk very helpful. Room is clean, comfy and the place is quiet. The tub is a bit narrow to walk in and needs non skid. The tub shower could use and update. Water was nice and hot and plentiful. Please use de ice salt in your walkway! Thanks.
No surprises which I guess is a good thing! There’s not a lot of hotels to choose from in Huber Hts so this one or the nearby Hampton is the default choice. The Hampton is under construction so this was an easy choice. Rooms are clean and the folks at the front desk are friendly. That said, bathrooms need to be updated - mine had a cracked plastic shower shell - and breakfast improved. In particular, my kids weren’t happy the pancake/waffle maker was broken. Be sure to always ask for the best price as you can be sure to lower your room rate...
Friendly greeting upon arrival, even though it was 10 pm. Staff greeted us each time we walked through the front door. Room was comfy, and clean. Didn't take advantage of the breakfast until the last morning.
This hotel is nice, it's clean, and has friendly staff. It's easy to get to from the highway and close to restaurants and shopping. Pegi at the front desk is great she's super friendly. Just make sure if you stay here you don't forget anything in your room when you check out because there's a very good chance you won't get it back. My daughter forgot her laptop charger in the room, I called about it but housekeeping never turned it in so now we have to buy her a new charger. Other than that great property.
I just finished with a 3 week stay and it was as good of one as I could have asked for. After attempting to use a faulty government travel card Misti was very helpful in accommodating me as we figured it out. I brought many difficulties and challenges during my stay but thanks to help of Misti and the staff it ended being as good any I have ever had. It is also in a great location with many restaurant's within walking distance. I would definitely stay again.
Clean room with super friendly staff. Easy access to eating locations and the interstate. The beds are a little small for two adults but the amenities in the room are great! Keeurig coffe pot, fridge, microwave and a really nice lounge chair.
