Not particularly friendly staff but rooms are clean and comfortable. I wouldn't eat at the restaurant again as the menu is limited and expensive for what is not much better than club food. There are other restaurants close by serving great food so in future that would be my choice.
Great staff and a great location. The hotel and grounds are awesome. All the staff ensure that you feel welcomed and take care of any requests made. the service to the room was great and it was nice to see that they look after you like a family member.
To say that I am bitterly disappointed is an understatement. I contacted the hotel in February to organise this trip, and I had initially had great communication. The trip would include up to six rooms in the end plus breakfast, platters and bar sales. Our whole budget for the women's trip was planned around it. The accommodation on offer is not suitable for a group of mature age women to share 3-4 a room and now would result in doubling the accommodation price for each traveller. We will get accommodation elsewhere.
Resort was close to town and shops ,but needs a up grade to bring it up to scratch. Has very nice pool area and pool bar and has tropical gardens all around the area. Restaurant put on a good breakfast and would pack you a breakfast box if you were leaving on a early tour.
Good points - Easy walk to main tourist attractions, with Woolworths close by. Bad points - Not too friendly staff, bathroom need refurbished, with old mouldy tiles and grout. Old fabric shower screen needs to be replaced. A bit noisy - close to main arterial road
We stayed here for a long weekend break... the rooms were comfortable and clean but the bathrooms a bit tired. The lift worked but was very old. However, the location is great, very central and walking distance to all that the CBD and wharf area has to offer. All in all, we'd probably stay here again but only if there wasn't a better deal somewhere else.
Always enjoy Darwin and staying at Travelodge Resort Darwin. Spacious townhouses, self contained, great pool with bar service. Centrally located in the CBD with banks, supermarket, chemist and public transport just over the road. Will come back again.
Wonderful experience in Darwin & resort Resort Staff are friendly and helpful. Staff Happy to help with anything you need. Relaxing and comfortable environment with spacious room. Very happy to recommend this establishment for a holiday.
Stayed two nights one just under $200 and the second $260. Happened to be around the V8 weekend so prices may have been raised accordingly. First room had a bit of a possessed shower head - one second piercing streams, the next dull. Quite hard to enjoy/use. Second room had a normal constant stream shower head which was much better but the room did have a strong odour of paint or other? Had to open the windows to remove the odour. Despite these issues it was fine for a base in Darwin. They kept luggage over 4 nights while we were on a Kakadu tour, which was very helpful. The hotel is reasonably central. About 10-15 mins walk to the waterfront. About a $13 taxi to mindil markets. Beds were comfortable and it had a nice pool. There was a Woolworths across the street and a small selection of restaurants a couple of mins away. Had a gym I did not utilise. Staff were always helpful and polite.
The staff are lovely. The location is central and is a close walk to all central Darwin locations. It is across the road from a Woolworths shopping centre which is very useful. Their pool looked lovely but we unfortunately did not get to use it (a very quick overnight stay). Their restaurant also got a good talk up by a local but again we did not get to check this out. The rooms are a bit tired, but were clean and had a refrigerator, kettle and were comfortable. We were happy it was a street back from a major street concert so we got to walk passed and enjoy but were not affected all night by the sound which many other hotels were. All in all I think this was a good value proposition particularly given the free parking within the hotel complex as we had a hire car and there were some local security considerations!
