The check -in staff was pleasant. The room was clean however the ice trays in the refrigerator had mold in them. I checked it for ice because I did not have an ice bucket. I was given an ice bucket by one of the staff members working in the hall however it came from another room; hopefully it was replaced. I went to breakfast at 9:30 and most of the food was gone and the staff said they would not be cooking anymore. The breakfast room need better procedures to regulate who's suppose to be in there and who's not. Another guest brough it to my attention that some of the people eating were Hilton guest who would have had to pay for breakfast and would have eaten in another area of the building if they had paid. The access to enter the breakfast area on the Homewood side of the building should have a better way to preserve the experience for just their paid guest so guest like myself want be faced with no food because I came 30 minutes prior to the end. Also, I received a text, a day after checking out about a $2.50 charge for my room. Not a lot of money but I don't know why. I didn't drink the bottled water that was in the room, which is the only thing I saw that had a fee. I'm a Hilton member. If I wanted it, according to the instructions I should have been able to drink it with no problems. I didn't drink them and I was charged $2.50. I gove the visit a 7 out of 10 rating.

The hospitality stood out! Miss Jess made my boys turkey sausages when she found out they didn’t eat pork. She also made a care package when she heard one of my sons caught the flu. She blessed him with to go box to take to the room with tea, honey, lemons and oranges! She and her team were soooo thoughtful! It really made all the difference!
