wreaked of weed in my hallway, other than that everthing was as expected

Beautiful, historic building from the outside, but dilapidated and bare-bones inside.

Heat stopped working with 40 degree weather. I was told there were no other rooms available for me to relocate during my final night, so I had to sleep in long johns and socks...

The staff at the Belmont is great. A work-in-progress - I’m interested to see the place after its $3,000,000 renovation as it’s a landmark in Dallas.

nice older hotel near I30 in West Dallas, cool old vibe, easy access to downtown, OakCliff, and LuvField airport

I paid extra for room with a view, but trees grew in front of my window! The rooms are big, but for the price paid, were a little Spartan. I expected more.

It was a great experience!, the location was great and the people were friendly.

I saw pictures of the rooms online and fell in love with the style, but when I got there the room wasn't anything like the pictures. I didn't have a terrible stay, there was a nice view from the window and it was close to downtown Dallas, but initially walking in was a little disappointing. Overall my stay was okay.

Awesome staff, from the valets to the manager, friendly and knew my name on arrival. They even left a personalized welcome note in the room! Fantastic views from the terraces and the beautiful historic pool. Very well kept landscaping and buildings in keeping with the period and style of the original architecture. The only issue we had was the door to the outside on our floor could not be opened with our key card (policy not malfunction). We could have walked straight from the outside to our room, instead, we had to always use the main stairs at the front of our building. Well, at least we knew it was a secure place! A wonderful getaway, whether for a weekend or a full vacation. I will certainly be visiting again and hopefully for many years to come!

I was basically forced to stay here due to a convention in town and proximity to the location where I was working. The rooms are under furnished and the carpets are filthy. The walls are thin and you can hear every word being spoken next door. There are no vending machines in the hotel at all but the staff was kind enough to point me to the dollar store across the street. The parking situation is horrible unless you want to pay 15 per night for valet . The parking lot they do have is no where near the hotel, not in a good neighborhood, and of course they are not responsible for theft or damage. The staff for the most part was nice but they were not shy about telling people the hotel is 80 years old and that's just how it is. I would RUN from this place as in my opinion it is a motel with an ego in a horrible neighborhood. On the plus side if you end up in the City jail you're only 5 blocks or so away and there are plenty of bail bondsmen real close by.

Belmont has such a cool, retro feel to it! The staff was AWESOME! Clean rooms.

Hotel was near my downtown business destination - close enough to walk, but the hotel provided free shuttle, so that was great! Also close to shopping and restaurants, with shuttle service to/from the airport. The restaurant on-site had good food, and was very relaxing since I arrive late evening, it was nice not having to go back out. I'll definitely consider staying here again, for business or pleasure.

his hotel is very cute and clean. I love the renovations to this vintage location. My only suggestion is to work on parking. It's a bit like off reading.

The hotel is on the outskirts of the city but it was nice to not be right downtown. Staff is amazing, hotel bar has excellent drinks and the view was worth it! This is definitely a unique hotel and I would stay here everytime I go to Dallas!

My girlfriend and I met in Dallas for a friend's 30th birthday party. I had read some descriptions and reviews of the Belmont. We knew it was an old hotel but based on ratings and reviews were expecting a first class experience. We had anything but that however. The bed was tiny and very low to the floor, the view was nothing like we had expected and smell was of mildew covered up by Pinesol. That was just the beginning. Through out the night the power would go off and when we woke up the next morning at 6 am there was no water. The front desk kept telling us the issue was fixed but by. 11:30 am later that morning we still had no work . We cancelled our reservation for that night and moved to another hotel. They cancelled our reservation for Saturday night and reimbursed for Saturday but would not reimburse us for Friday night . To soften the blow our travel site gave us a $50 travel voucher so big ups to them. The bartender at the bar was great however. We appreciate the great service there. We ordered foot from smoke which was cold and dry. Overall experience was terrible.

Loved hanging at the pool and bar with Dallas skyline as a backdrop.

Though the hotel is two miles from the convention center it does offer a free shuttle service which is friendly and efficient. The room was spare but spotless and when I asked for extra amenities and a coffee maker they were provided immediately. All the staff were accommodating and did everything to make me feel welcome. Recommended -- a charming hotel with character.

Hello, we are so sorry you encountered such an inconvenience during your visit. Our heat was temporarily out the evening of your stay and would have been unable to relocate you to a warmer room. We would love for you to give us a call directly so that we can discuss further. Glad everything else went well with your stay!

Andro, we are so sorry for your disappointment with the room with a view. We are actually going through renovations at the end of March, including landscaping, so we expect these changes to make this room with a view, and the entire hotel, even better. Thank you so much for your feedback and we will definitely take this into consideration. We hope you will give us another chance in the future.
