Romantic Couples A-Frame · Hot Tub ·Outdoor Shower
The Reserve is set up and ready from the moment you arrive. Every detail has been taken care of so you can stop thinking and start unwinding as soon as you pull up to that glass A-frame facade.
Of the three retreats at The Haven, The Reserve is the most private: a standalone A-frame set deep into the property with its own six wooded acres, its own river frontage, and a level of seclusion the others simply cannot match. If privacy matters to your trip, this is the one.
The cabin is a one-bedroom, one-bathroom retreat built in the Scandinavian tradition: clean lines, warm wood, natural light through a dramatic floor-to-ceiling triangular glass window that brings the forest into the room. By day, the trees fill every pane. By evening, the cabin glows from within. You will want the photo before you even go inside.
The loft bedroom sits above the living space with a king bed dressed in premium hotel-quality linens, an angled skylight overhead, and brass sconces casting a warm glow through the space. The sleep is the real thing. No traffic, no city light pollution, just the sound of the river and a quiet that is hard to find closer to home. No alarm unless you set one.
Downstairs, the open living area flows into a custom kitchen designed for couples who actually cook. The coffee bar is stocked with multiple syrups, creamers, a milk frother, and a curated tea selection. Morning here runs at its own pace. The kitchen has the basics and then some: sharp knives, quality cookware, a well-stocked kitchen with spices. The indoor fireplace and floor-to-ceiling forest window make the main room worth lingering in on a cool night.
The spa bathroom has high-end fixtures, premium toiletries, and a walk-in shower worth taking your time in.
Outside: the private hot tub on an elevated deck with the forest canopy overhead and jets that actually deliver. Right beside it, the outdoor shower behind wooden slat walls, open to the treetops, entirely private. It is the amenity every guest mentions first in their review. Across the six-acre property: 330 feet of Etowah River frontage, a Weber grill on the deck, outdoor seating, a fire pit, and string lights at dusk.
WHO THIS HOME IS BEST FOR
The Reserve was designed specifically as a romantic couples retreat. Two guests, intentional stays, and a property built around the idea that some trips should feel nothing like regular life.
Celebrating something. An anniversary, a birthday, an engagement, or a trip that was long overdue. You want a space built for two, not for a crowd.
Outdoor adventurers with a taste for comfort. Hike Amicalola Falls in the morning, hot tub at 7 p.m., cook dinner at the cabin. That covers a full day well.
Wine country explorers. Two or three Dahlonega vineyards, dinner downtown, nightcap on the deck under the stars.
Digital detoxers. WiFi is available, though the river doesn't care either way. You'll check your phone less than you expect.
Pet travelers. The Reserve is dog-friendly, with six wooded acres and room to actually roam.
LOCATION AND WHAT'S NEARBY
Dahlonega sits at the intersection of Georgia wine country and the North Georgia mountains, and it is worth building a trip around.
Downtown Dahlonega Square: 10 min. Wine bars, craft breweries, farm-to-table restaurants, and boutique shops in a charming historic district. Start every evening here.
Juliette Chapel: 4 min. A beautiful intimate chapel just minutes from the property, popular with couples visiting the area.
Consolidated Gold Mines: 8 min. Underground historic mine tour, a surprisingly good afternoon.
Montaluce Winery: 10 min. A Tuscany-inspired estate with a full on-site restaurant, vineyard tastings, and some of the best food in the Dahlonega wine country.
Wolf Mountain Vineyard: 18 min. One of Georgia's most acclaimed estate wineries with sweeping mountain views and wines that regularly win national recognition.
Three Sisters Vineyards: 18 min. A hidden gem on Dahlonega's wine trail, relaxed, scenic, and often less crowded than the bigger names. Chestatee River: 20 min. Tubing, kayaking, and fly fishing in the foothills.
Amicalola Falls State Park: 20 min. One of the Southeast's most beautiful waterfalls and the southern gateway to the Appalachian Trail. Blood Mountain: 35 min. The highest point on the Georgia AT. A challenging summit hike with panoramic views that reward the climb. Atlanta: 1 hour. Close enough for an easy day trip, far enough that this actually feels like a getaway.
PARKING
The Reserve has 2 parking spots on a paved driveway, down a short private gravel drive. No RVs or oversized vehicles.

Accurate listing, very clean, and a great location for a quiet getaway. Within driving distance to a great brewery and multiple vineyards. Would 100% stay again! One piece of advice for those who don’t know the area: there isn’t a grocery store or liquor store “around the corner”, so I would recommend grabbing what you need ahead of time.
We had the most wonderful stay at this small, cozy modern retreat. From the moment we arrived, it felt like a luxury retreat. The design perfectly blends clean, modern touches with warm charm. The sleek finishes paired with soft lighting and natural wood accents that make the space feel instantly inviting.Despite its size, the cabin is incredibly well laid out and thoughtfully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The kitchenette had all the essentials, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the living area was the perfect spot to unwind with a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. The large windows brought in so much natural light and offered beautiful views, making the space feel open and connected to nature. One of our favorite parts was the hot tub. Whether relaxing on the deck, stargazing at night, or simply enjoying the stillness, it truly felt like a reset from busy everyday life. It’s the ideal spot for a romantic getaway, a solo recharge, or a cozy weekend escape.Thank you for hosting us for our anniversary and providing us with rose petals and gift basket.
