The staff accommodated our last minute reservation smoothly. Parking was convenient. The room gave off creepy vibes with main room windows that had short blinds. The bathroom had a window that opened to the patio that was shared by next door visitors. The main room window also had a figurine of an alien baby.
We stayed at Mountain Laurel (there are multiple facilities at this location). The bedding was super comfortable, the balconies enjoyable, and the jacuzzi was fun. We would have liked a bathroom upstairs. The bathroom was in need of an upgrade. The toilet was damaged and the shower had cracks. The complimentary breakfast was amazing. It was a hot buffet with multiple options. The servers were busy and very pleasant. We plan to come back!
The staff were super friendly and helpful!! There were a couple of situations that arose but were rectified by the wonderful staff! Great experience!!
What a great place to chill out, at Christmas anyway. I don't know about summer/fall as it is their busy season. The local winery Monteluce, well it's overhyped.
Beautiful setting with convenient on property dining. Included breakfast consists of hot entrees, fruits, sweets, cereal. Only complaint is during these times of COVID precautions were taken in the dining room with plexiglass placed on Buffett area and no self service however no staff wore masks which completely defeated the purpose.
The staff was amazing, especially the girl at the front desk. The room was what you would expect in a cabin-type accommodation, dated and rustic, but it was very clean. Very peaceful; my boys and husband loved it.
Lovely stay at Forrest Hills Mountain resort. Always felt welcome and they’ve put a lot of thought into making their guests comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful— even the landscaper went out of his way to be helpful and kind in identifying the beautiful flowers around the property. Had a great time at the psychic storytelling circle on Saturday night—Kimberly was very entertaining. So glad we decided to purchase a ticket for that event. Breakfast was also very good. Our room was in the Tree Topper and was comfortable—reminded me of our old family camp cabin in PA. Location was convenient to mostly everything in this area of North GA mtns— the beautiful Amicalola Falls State Park, orchards, wineries, waterfalls, hiking, quaint little towns, horseback riding—- We are already planning our next trip!
A great relaxing getaway from the busyness of life. Enjoyed a real hot breakfast each morning. Beautiful area!
Wooded privacy, very clean and food provided was good.
My husband gave me this trip to the resort as a get away and a time to unwind from the everyday stresses of life. This resort was everything i needed. I LOVED how quiet this place was. Rooms, lodges, and pool were very clean and inviting. And i must say, the breakfast was AMAZING!! They did not disappoint during this covid season with the food services. French toast, eggs, bacon, fruit, biscuits, gravy, potatoes- it was all so great!! And the serving ladies and gentlemen were most friendly and cheerful. I also loved the hiking trails and back roads that surround this property. I ran 5 miles each morning through some beautiful scenery. It's great for biking or strolling or jogging. I loved the gardens and tables they had scattered throughout the property too. Lots of spaces to sit and ponder, or sit and visit with friends. I felt plenty safe while walking, jogging, and hiking there. Cons- bugs in the bathroom crawling about, outlet not working unless the main overhead light was on(meaning no nightlight in bathroom) and one of the after hours serveice guys were not so nice. However, none of these things ruined my trip or my stay. These rooms are in the mountains so the few bugs were understandable. And the property is older so the dated baths were ok too. My stay here was everything and more. I loved the private back porch each lodge room had too! ALSO, they let me check in hours early!! Great folks, great place! I'd definitely go again.
Overall a great stay. Beautiful place to stay and the beds were comfortable. The AC worked great. Restaurant was a little crazy this trip because of the pandemic but it is usually great.
Forrest Hills Resort was a very nice experience. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The only negative was the narrow roads in the resort area.
Easy check in, friendly staff, great breakfast, quiet and clean room.
It was such a beautiful, peaceful environment. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Food was delicious!!
This is an older resort with cabins and “lodges” that are a little run down. But it’s in a beautiful area and the food is excellent. Best free breakfast I’ve had anywhere!
Property is made up of several lodges, cabins and meeting buildings. It’s in a beautiful, wooded area and it seems that every place has a view of the beautiful outdoors. I stayed in the Bears Den lodge. The interior was a bit out of date but was very clean. The beds were medium to firm. The restaurant on site served okay food and had a good ambiance. I had the burger and fries. It was okay. My stay included a full breakfast each day but I didn’t stop in to eat as I was out the door by 7:30 (breakfast served at 8). Each late afternoon as came back, the horses would be in the field and that was pleasant to see. Overall, nice place for a family get together, wedding, or retreat. I was staying in the area to attend a workshop but would stay again with my family and take advantage of the activities at the resort like horseback riding and swimming.
The cabin was very clean and cozy. Breakfast and dinner was very good. The hot tub was nice! The TV was small but we didn’t watch much so not a big deal.

We are sorry that you feel that way, however we take precautions daily as far as, sanitizing and disinfecting all areas on the resort as well as several other protocols. To ensure the safety of our guests and staff as we do take it very seriously however, masks are optional due to there being no mask mandate in the state of Georgia.

Interesting feedback! I will have to check those things out. Odds are it was a cherub in the window. Thanks!
