Bucket list level properties are few and far between but Frog call easily qualifies and then some. The house is quirky and unique. The property itself was WAY more than we expected with the beautiful views, private lake stocked with trout, fire pit, bunk house, tree house, extensive screened back porch, and more. This is less a rental and more a home. Falling asleep and waking up to the sounds of the waterfall, birds, and the many wind chimes was absolutely magical. The only thing better than the property itself is the host. Jimmie went far above and beyond to make our stay perfect! Book this place! Your soul will thank you.

Frog Call was a delightful home away from home on our recent trip to Dahlonega! The cabin was spacious and accommodating, and the screened porch was a perfect place for coffee and most of our meals. We enjoyed feeding the fish in the picturesque pond, walking on the trails to the treehouse and bunkhouse, and visiting the wineries, all of which were an easy 10-20 minute drive away. Jimmie was invaluable and recommended restaurants we thoroughly enjoyed, including Wolf Mountain and our favorite, Montaluce.

Frog Call was beyond our expectations and possibly our favorite rental ever. The property itself has so much to offer and the owners are so kind and generous with info and input about the surrounding area. Gorgeous views, nature like you rarely get to enjoy it, nearby tubing and kayaking, panning for gold and gems, mine tours and historic, quaintlovely downtown area. We came to swim with otters at the North Georgia Safari Park. We got to enjoy that amazing experience and so much more to make a memorable trip for our daughter's birthday which has us longing to return to Dahlonega and especially to Frog Call!

A little slice of mountain heaven
My wife, in-laws and close friend ventured north to Frog Call to celebrate our birthdays and to escape the oppressive Florida heat; we were not disappointed. The property was everything we'd hoped and more, with extremely plush and comfortable bedding, fully equipped kitchen where we cooked more than a few meals, a new grill out front, and more than enough space for the 5 of us (and our two pups) to either gather or retreat as we saw fit. The true star of the show was the property itself; from the expansive meadow outside our bedroom window, numerous trails and creeks to explore and, most surprising of all, the glorious pond, in which we all swam, paddled and floated about with the fishes.Jimmie, the hostess, went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable and help us make the best out of our week there. We will certainly be back. Thank you Jimmie!

Enjoyed getting away from the crowds and reconnecting to nature at its best. It feels like you are in your own world, but Starbucks is only 6 miles away. Great communication. Felt like we took a step back in time. Local restaurant reccomendations were superb.

Best rental ever
We absolutely loved our stay. The cabin is full of small details to have all the comforts of home and the hosts are incredibly thoughtful and welcoming. The best part is that the property is so expansive that my two large breed dogs were able to wander off leash safely for our entire stay. Seriously, it was like doggy Disneyland for them. We will definitely be back.

Excellent stay
Great communication with owner. Very helpful, nice, and understanding. Couldn't ask for better. If you are wanting to stay close to Dahlonega but still want to feel like you are in the middle of nowhere then this is your place. Just a short drive to downtown. Road gets a little narrow coming and going for the last 8 miles but it is very doable. So much space to explore outside. Our daughters dog loved exploring the trails. If you have an active dog then they'll love this place. The inside is very quaint and warm. Two main bedrooms with a large day bed in the living room. Only one tv but everyone watches everything on their phones now anyway. Just be prepared with tablets and such if you have small kids. Master bath is a dream. Trust me on this. A dream. Plenty of room to spread out inside and out. I loved the place and would go back in a heartbeat. My wife initially wasn't pleased with the small shower in the other bathroom, only one tv, and what she deemed too much clutter. After a bit she warmed up to it. But be aware the other shower is a stall shower. There is a bunch of stuff around. If you have small kids with grabby hands then it may be a little extra work for you. This is nitpicking though. Highly recommend. My wife and I stayed with our daughter, her husband and their German Short-haired Pointer. Can't ask for more from an owner, Great location. Great rental. Book it.

Wonderful stay! Family of 6
From the moment I booked the trip, Jimmie /Andy (host) was great with communication. They sent several messages regarding walkthrough of the property, check in/out, recommendations on food and activities etc. everything was exactly as outlined.
It was a great stay and with the mobile phones weak signal and the single tv in the cabin I loved seeing the 4 kids not be in front of a screen. Seeing the square lit up and all the Christmas activities is what brought us up to the area but this property had us end our Saturday earlier than expected to head back to the cabin to hang out there and enjoy the surroundings. My (actually my 15 year old sons ) only complaint was he didnt get to catch a bass but caught plenty of trout.
The master bathroom is AWESOME, the tub and shower is something if I ever own a place in a similar very private setting that I can do all the huge windows like they have I’d copy everything about it!
Wonderful time on our short two night trip! Book it, you won’t regret it!

September Get Away
We truly enjoyed our stay! The house is very conveniently located near Dahlonega and a short drive from the nearby vineyards. We enjoyed the privacy this property offers, the walking trails, creek and small stocked fish pond. It was still a bit warm early in our stay so we didn’t have a chance to stay in the bunk house or tree house, but the offer a great chance to glamp out in the woods. The porch is large and we spent a lot of time relaxing out there while enjoying the fresh air. The owner is very nice and communicated often to make sure we had everything we need. We’d give our stay a big thumbs up!!

What an amazing property! The seclusion and peacefulness were much appreciated. Adults, kids and dogs loved exploring the creeks and property. The additional bunk house and tree house were a wonderful touch. Mrs. Jimmie was very welcoming and thoughtful. We loved to swim in the pond in the afternoons. Family Vacation
What an amazing vacation!! We had the opportunity to stay in the heart of nature! The house was so cozy, especially the beds, and equipped with everything! Jimmie could not have been more welcoming and accommodating! The property has wonderful trails, a beautiful bunkhouse, and a fairytale style treehouse! We were able to feed the fish daily as well as throw a line in for catch and release! Evenings were highlighted by fireflies! A firepit allowed for s'mores and family time. Even the rain was gorgeous as it gently toppled down from the canopies of trees! We are very thankful for our time at Frog Call!

The Frog Call might be our favorite VRBO that we've ever stayed at! This place is so beautiful and peaceful, I recommend you stop reading now and book it before someone else does. We had so much fun swimming in the lake with our elderly pup and exploring the property. The treehouse is awesome. Oh and the master bed was so comfortable. Thank you Jimmie for sharing your wonderful cabin with the rest of us. We are already planning our trip back!

A Tranquil Adventure
We loved our way too short (two nights) visit to Frog Call. We are in our 70's and came for my husband's birthday. The house is extremely accessible and is filled with fascinating stuff. The kitchen is well-stocked with more pots, pans and gadgets than I have at home--I was able to cook a fancy dinner with ease. Everything written in the description ot his property is accurate. There are plenty of trails to explore, the bunk house and other cabin are well worth seeing and the golf cart makes life easy for anyone having difficulty walking. Feeding the fish is kind of fun and sitting on the HUGE screened in porch could easily turn into a lifestyle!!! Jimmie went out of her way for us and there was even a delicious birthday cake for my husband in the fridge. We already are thinking about making a return trip next year with friends. A real 10 out of 10. We feel very fortunate to have found this lovely place.

Back to the basics with nature. Property was amazing! Cabin quaint and comfortable, master bath artsy eclectic, fishing pond beautiful and well-stocked, birds and wind chimes serene, sweet silence that brings you much peace in this volatile world. Jimmie’s retreat is a gem, and so is she, above and beyond accommodating. Will definitely 100% be returning when we need to decompress and recenter. Thank you for this gift.

Peaceful beautiful property
We were looking for a peaceful getaway out of the hustle of the city. This was perfect. A private pond, lots of land for the dogs to run around and perfect for decompressing. Jimmie was always available if we needed her, and was so kind. We have rented from many properties (some good, some not so much) but we will be back to this one. Thank you for the lovely stay!!
