Nice hotel next to college and downtown area. We were able to walk everywhere.

Historic hotel - 1899 - that has been updated and modernized.

Nice hotel, wish there had been a refrigerator in the room. Wanted to have dinner there but the restaurant was closed. Wanted to have breakfast there, the restaurant was closed 😞

Our family visited Dahlonega for a wedding at one of the wineries in the area. The location of The Smith house was very convenient for us. Our rooms were located right next to each other. They were nicely appointed. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

My experience here was wonderful!! Our room was large with 2 queen beds. It was nice because the beds were spaced a good distance apart and my friend and I weren't jammed right up next to each other like most standard hotels with 2 queens. You will appreciate this if you are sharing a room with someone who snores lol. The beds were also very comfortable. The location was wonderful right in town and you can just get out and walk to shops and restaurants. They have a nice little porch with rocking chairs that we enjoyed relaxing on in the evening. The staff is so nice and friendly. They went above and beyond to help me when I had major car trouble. I appreciated it so much because we were 2 single females traveling alone. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and surely hope I get the chance someday.
