The house was perfect. The location was perfect. Overall the weather was pretty good for mid October. Got lobster on two different occasions from a local fisherman and it was fantastic. The only complaint we had was the local property manager was not very responsive. Other than that this property is a 10 out of 10.

We couldn’t have found a nicer, secluded retreat to spend our 30th wedding anniversary. The house is on beautiful spot with absolutely stunning views of Holmes Bay. The sunsets were amazing in the evening on the deck and we enjoyed coffee out there in the mornings. We saw lots of birds including a family of blue jays that sat on the deck railing every morning. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed to cook most of our meals in the kitchen or on the grill. But it was too windy to enjoy the gazebo. We ventured down to the beach during low tide and did some beach combing. We found interesting rocks and a shard of pottery. We did a few day trips to Lubec and FDR’s place on Campobello Island. And a stop in Eastport and a drive through the Moosehorn Wildlife Refuge. In Machias we had a few drinks at Mason brewery and lunch at Helen’s. Overall a great vacation spot if you are looking for tranquility and gorgeous scenery. I would highly recommend!

Lovely home surrounded by meadow with fantastic views of the bay. There are things to do close by, especially hiking with a nearby coastal trail that runs over 5 miles. Or just sit and watch the bay - bald eagles, osprey, all kinds of shorebirds; we even saw seals hunting walking the shore near sunset. Cannot say enough.

Paradise!
Beautiful, amazing almost 360* Holmes Bay views. Cozy cabin with plenty of bedrooms/bathrooms and dog friendly! Our pups loved the rolling landscape and path down to the water! We visited many towns along the coast and up north. Scenic and peaceful and everything we were hoping for! Pure joy!!!

Nice cabin
We enjoyed our stay in this cabin in Cutler. It was very quiet and the sunsets were amazing. Beds were comfortable and we really appreciated the extra room and extra bathroom. Lots of pots and pans to cook in kitchen and extras like spices were very much appreciated. The only problem we had was contacting property manager with questions. She seemed to have trouble connecting with my phone to return calls but I was able to leave her messages on her phone. Other than that we really appreciate the owners allowing us to rebook this year due to Hurricane Lee last year. We recommend this cabin for anyone who wants quiet and solitude. The cabin is easy to find and about 15-20 min from Hannafords where lobsters are plenty and they steam them for free.

Gorgeous Bucolic Setting
My 2 week stay was perfect. The house is clean, well-equipped and you can't beat the scenery. Took many short trips to hike with my dogs at Quoddy Head Lighthouse, Roque Bluffs, Beals Island and Cutler Preserve. At the property I watched mama deer and her fawn, Mr & Mrs Turkey with their 5 babies; a rare red raccoon at Cobscook Bay. Eating was fantastic, a favorite spot was Helen's in Machias for lobster rolls and pie. The house remained comfortable even though the last 2 days saw record heat for Maine.

Magical Cutler Maine
Still dreaming of our lovely family getaway at the gorgeous, immaculate Sea Chimes cabin. Super comfy accommodations, astounding views of Holmes Bay from the wrap around deck, from the great room and master loft bedroom. Heaven! Incredible sunsets and cozy nights by the fire. This house really has it all. We enjoyed lots of day trips to Eastport, Lubec (our fave) and Campobello Island. Scenic hikes around Quoddy. We look forward to returning to this mystical corner of Maine again! Our big old (senior)) hound dog loved the daily romps down the private path to the bay/beach…it just really feels miles away from it all - it’s a very special place.

Fun Filled Family Vacation
This property was beautifully maintained and provided stunning views all around. It was a wonderful experience to have a good old fashioned week of family time on this property. There was plenty of places to explore nearby. It was the perfect balance of adventure and relaxation spending time together at night playing board games and doing puzzles. The kids were able to spend a week barely looking at their devices. Highly recommend to anyone looking to unplug.

We loved it!
Great home for our family vacation! We enjoyed the location and being able to make day trips to Bar Harbor and Lubec, as well as all of the local hiking. We took the Acadia puffin boat tour which was fantastic. Saw a seal lounging on rocks during one of our hikes as well. Loved exploring the shore and having campfires in the evening. The house was clean and offered us plenty of space! Thank you for sharing your home with us. We hope to visit Maine again!

Awesome Location
Quaint area, many lobster fishing warfs to discover. Excellent hiking trails, an abundance of wildlife. Acadia puffin tour was excellent owner/operator couple. Local restaurants all have great food and desserts. If you don’t enjoy this area and cottage you should stay in the city where you likely belong. Go looking for best priced lobster it’s an adventure in itself. Enjoy your turn!!

Isolation on the Ocean
Location was perfect for a couple who wanted to disconnect from the world for a week. We loved listening to the ocean from the deck, private beach access to walk the coast. WiFi was solid enough for YouTubeTV to stream movies/football on the rain day. House was spotlessly clean! Would have thought we were the first guests ever if not for the guest book.

Beautiful Vacation Spot!
We arrived late last Saturday night and got out of the car to a sky filled with beautiful stars and the the Milky Way visible! We woke up the next morning to a gorgeous view all the way around the house! It was a great spot to spend the week. We enjoyed daily walks on the beach, digging clams and muscles, and sitting around the fire pit at night. Great location for day trips too! We went south to Acadia/Bar Harbor and north to Lubec. Wonderful Maine Adventure!
Five adults in their late sixties thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Plenty of room for privacy but also a great place to play cards, bbq, watch the tide and sunsets and the FOG. It was our first visit to Maine so we enjoyed exploring the area, Lubec, Machias and Eastport. We hiked several trails, rode bikes in Eastport, ate local lobster for the first time, and blueberry pie too! Ate at the Bluebird Ranch, Helen’s Toms for breakfast , and several places in Lubec. Went to bars: Thirsty Moose, Old Sow, and a few breweries. We made the most of every day!!! The temperature was in the 80s a couple days but mostly 70s which was a welcome change from our 100 plus temps at home! We were not able to go into Canada. We had passports but vaccine cards were needed! It was a wonderful vacation for us!!!!
