NO ELEVATOR KINDA SUCKS WE WERE ON THE 2ND FLOOR STAYING 5 DAYS SO GOING UP STAIRS WITH EVERYTHING WAS BAD--NIGHT CLERK HAD NO CLUE ON ANYTHING TO DO AROUND THE AREA--SEEMS HE JUST WANTED TO BE LEFT ALONE--MORNING CREW WAS A LITTLE BETTER SO I THINK YOUR DESK PERSONAL NEED MORE INFO FOR VISITORS KNOWLEDGE FOR SIGHTSEEING

It was a great find! We spent four nights and had so much fun exploring around Custer. Half hour from Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Custer State Park, and a bunch of charming towns. We found several great restaurants near the hotel that we enjoyed returning to.

The breakfast offerings were limited, but the main concern was the problem with the fork dispenser. It did not work for the two days we were there. In addition, there was one day when the milk was gone, and the desk had to be informed.

3 queen beds, cheap, but lacking in other areas

We specifically picked this hotel to get 3 queen size beds. I was expecting all beds in a row like regular hotels. But I was pleasantly surprised when it was a suite with 2 queens in the family area, and a separate room with another queen. There were LOTS of shelves in closets. Unfortunately the air conditioner didn’t cool as much as we like. The breakfast was sad, with powdered eggs almost every day. There is no elevator. The part that upset me the most was that in the “transition wood” from family room to kitchen - there were 4 nails sticking straight up! I ended up putting a towel over it for the trip so no one would get hurt and tried to make the most of it. Overall the hotel met our needs and was cheap.

My overall stay was above average. Expedia is not a reputable business. I. Reserve 1 room for 1 adult & one dog. The clerk informed me that I had two. The second room was for two adults no dog” I owe for one room not two! The Clerk informed me that could not cancel because I arrived on my arrival date! As you can imagine I’m quite upset! I would appreciate any help!! When I arrived at the hotel the clerk notified me that I had been charged & paid for with the the credit card on file. I’m extremely upset and hope you can RECTIFY my problem!

Front desk friendly. Rooms ok A lot of broken locks to the rooms in the hotel. Terrible breakfasts. One day was only 5 yogurts in the refrigerator so people could get nothing. Scrambled eggs...like wooden chips.

I have stayed at this property several times when visiting Custer and the room has always been quiet and clean and this visit was no different. This time however the breakfast was horrible. The eggs had the consistency of gravel and tasted horrible and there was not a breakfast meat option. This has not been the case in the past and I hope it is just a 1 off occurrence.

Nice for a Super 8

It has been a while since I stayed in a Super 8. With the glowing reviews on this property I thought they might have changed ... they have not. That being said, the staff were fantastic and the rooms were comfortable and safe. My dog did find a couple of pills (ended up being ibuprofen) that the cleaners had apparently missed on the floor, luckily she did not eat them.
