Poncho's and Lefty's are basically the basement (walk out style) of the owner's house, that are separated by a thin wall with a door, so everything between the two rooms is heard by the other side. The owners stay in the up stairs portion of the house, so if you are a light sleeper, you will hear them as well. No chance of an intimate stay unless you do not care if the other occupants hear your every movement. The place was clean, the bed was way to soft for me (like sleeping on a low pressure air mattress). Perhaps my biggest disappointment was that the owners were flying a confederate flag and to make it worse, it was flying above the American flag.

The setting was beautiful if your traveling by yourself and not doing anything with others. They allow no guest or overnight visitors. The room is not quiet as you can hear people walking around up stairs and even hear people next door snoring! The owners must have had bad experiences with past quest because there is two or three full pages of what you CAN'T do. Kind of sad because this could have been a much better experience with a little more customer care and understanding by the owner.

Pancho's and Lefty's are private suites with double insulated walls between then, and also the ceilings above. They are not "thin walls". We, as the owners, take great care to be as quiet as possible when we have guests staying below. The mattress is a Serta; you are the first guests who didn't like the quality. Unfortunately we cannot help it if a guest is a light sleeper. Both flags flying are part of our family heritage - many family members in the Military have fought and died to defend them. As you were touring the Hills, you should have noticed a large number of Confederate flags flying at businesses and residences. We are proud of our Country, and its Defenders.

Sorry you feel that way. I know of no vacation rentals or camp grounds that allow un-registered guests or overnight visitors here in the Hills. That is just good customer care for our other guests. Our rules are in place to assure guests that they have a nice place to stay and to come back to again. They exist so that we Do Not have bad experiences with our guests, and the rules are generic for all our properties. Unfortunately, we cannot help it if someone snores!
