Cool Rooms with issues

Location is amazing. The room we got at 1st left a lot to be desired. We got a remote for the TV and no batteries, it wouldn’t have helped, because the cable was cut and the tv not plugged in. 1 bed was broken with a deep sag in the center. We only complained when the hot water didn’t work and we were finally switched rooms. The workers there are the best, but don’t hesitate to ask for repairs

The staff were very nice and friendly. Unfortunately, hot water was an issue. And when you have to leave for a tour at 5am, and take a cold shower in freezing temperatures, it does not make it a pleasant experience. The bedroom was dark and got a headache from straining our eyes/vision. We liked that it was close to the plaza and the restaurant upstairs had an amazing view of the main plaza. If issues with the hot water and the lighting in the bedrooms get fixed, I would totally recommend this little place.

Just location is ok.

Good location only. But, Rooms are small with no windows. Smells like sewage. Electric shower??Staff unprepared... Had to pay in cash because, they didn't know how to charge the credit card! expensive, bunch of better options for the same price in Cuzco.

Old, tiny, dark, but GREAT staff!

Not a nice place to stay. In fact, the only thing nice about this place is the staff-- they were WONDERFUL! The location is great as you're located right in the heart of PLaza de Armas, but the rooms are old, the towels - OLD, the bathroom- TINY, and no real windows in the rooms, so they're dark. Everything just feels OLD. We will not be staying here again. Sorry!

Cheap hotel next to Plaza De Armas. Needs major renovation, room is tiny, hot water is spotty, WiFi is weak. Staff is friendly and helpful. Breakfast is great with nice view of the Plaza.

Great Location, Clean Room and Warm Comfy Bed

The room was sufficiently furnished but old for a comfortable night stay. The wifi was strong in the room. The water was sufficiently warm consistently for a short shower. The hotel utilises an instant heater for their showers. So be sure to switch the heater on (switch located on the side of the rain shower head) prior to showering or else there will never be any warm water. The toilet initially had a pleasant toilet fragrance to it but it was actually masking a slight musky old toilet smell. The walls are very thin so lower your voices. The floors in the hotel are very creaky so you will know whenever someone is moving up and down the stairs. Overall, the stay was fair enough. Strong Wifi, Warm Showers and a Comfortable bed - most important items to me...

The only good thing is its location

I popped into Pirwa Posada one night to see if they had a single room available in a few days' time. When I managed to get my point across in broken Spanish and asked to see a room, the receptionist didn't seem too eager to help. When I checked in to my room a few days later, I realized there was no hot water. The room smelled of pungent cleaner. The mattress dipped in the middle, which made for a bad night's sleep. With regards to security, Pirwa Posada is definitely lacking. Photocopies of the guests' passports are left in the cubby holes at the front desk, within reach of anyone standing at the desk. Every time the receptionist left, the copies of the passports were essentially left out in the open. The only good redeeming quality about Pirwa its its central location, though this came with an inherent drawback in that every time you step out, you are bombarded with offers of massage deals, restaurant menus, and artwork.

little hotel few steps from the main plaza

if traveling on a budget, this is the place, just across from the main plaza, and walking distance from the important points of interest. The staff is real nice, a open and sincere smile when you arrived, and even with little English, you will feel inside a friendly and safe environment.
