I paid for a villa and it did not match my expectations at all. There was no AC in the whole villa. The place was extremely hot. Also, I paid the extra money for a villa but did not get a kitchen or even a refrigerator. The property was very pretty. They had lots of nice flowers. The spa was also nice but the lack of amenities for the rooms was unacceptable. My friend paid less for a smaller room and he had AC and a fridge. My wife went to complain before our last day and they acted as if we could easily switch to a room with AC. For the life of me I don’t understand why they would think somebody would pay luxury prices to stay in a room without basic amenities. If you are in Cuernavaca then choose any of the other resort hotels. You can go to Mision for the spa and the restaurant but paying their prices for lodging is a terrible idea. At the very least DO NOT spend the extra money for their villa which is complete rip off. $400/night to sweat in your sleep.

What stood out by far were the hotel grounds. They definitely made me feel one with nature with all the beautiful flowering/fruit trees and small water streams with fish. A very relaxing setting by far.

Misión del Sol was an unbelievable property with amazing amenities. The dining is healthy and delicious; the spa services were wonderful; the property grounds are lush and soothing; and the on-site activities (yoga, meditation, sound bath) made sure your day was as active as it was relaxing. I cannot imagine a more beautiful and relaxing getaway.

El hotel es muy bonito, particularmente los jardines. El servicio fue bueno, la gente es muy amable. Nos dijeron que están en transición y que poco a poco irán mejorando las habitaciones. La nuestra no tenía aire acondicionado, muy necesario en época de calor, y solo tenía un equipal para sentarse aunque era habitación doble, eso se ve medio pobre. La zona no es muy bonita y no ofrece gran cosa para salir, sobretodo en la noche. El hotel es caro, quizá un poco alto para lo que ofrece.

They were very unhelpful for someone who isn’t from the country. Rude and even left a nasty note in my room because I don’t speak Spanish. Left the hotel right away and they did not want to refund the rest of my trip. Had to battle for it. Would not recommend.
