The George as a building is full of character, but what really makes it an excellent stay is the quality of the staff. Such a friendly welcome, and superb service for breakfast and dinner meant that we felt very much at home. I recommend the George to anyone staying in the area.

I had a lovely stay at this countryside bed and breakfast. The bed was very comfortable, and the en suite bathroom added great convenience. Breakfast was tasty, with a full cooked meal each morning. I also enjoyed the cozy bar lounge and the peaceful patio area. The in-room tea and coffee facilities were a nice touch, and free parking made everything easy. A relaxing and well-equipped place to stay.

The amazing 4 poster bed was beautiful. Food in the restaurant and bar was good and the location is very convenient. Be cautious with the very narrow entrance to the car park, a sharp turn off the busy road. Oddly my room locked on the outside but there was no keyhole inside so somebody could have locked me in, and I did not like that at all. Ask about your room when checking in.

Wonderful countryside classic hotel

Great pet friendly hotel located in central town, free parking in the back. Well equipped room, we appreciated the fan as it was quite warm. Very friendly staff, good food and plenty of breakfast options. Perfect for an overnight stay and close to exploring Sissinghurst.
