Great staff who really make you feel welcome and valued as a customer, food is to a very high standard and the rooms are excellent
Room and services fine. The walk from the railway station is convoluted and hard even with a mobile suitcase. Sign posting would be of value.
The room was nice and clean, but the sound isolation is crap, we woke up at 4 and 5am with other guests speaking very loud on the hall, was not a good experience and for the price we pay they could add breakfast aswell, the carpark seems that doesn't't have any kind of security and kids ride bikes inside what left me with some second thoughts but.. that's what we get...
looks a bit run down on the outside but very nice inside. The breakfast buffet area is very small and as there was a large tour group at the same time as I was attempting to get breakfast it was chaos! suggest having separate area for large tour breakfasts. The set menu dinner meal was excellent value for money.
outside appearance of hotel is not as expected and is bad impression, internal area is however very good. Rooms are about to be upgraded and so below is reflected in my scores, air conditioning very noisy.
*BE WARNED* - thieves check the cars out in the car park! Booked for the Motorfest weekend as supporting the event. Good location for access. Reception friendly and efficient. Room was average and getting/looking tired. Cost was £70 / night for a twin. Faint smell of smoking even though non-smoking room. Had a few beers in the bar - good service and average price. I parked in the multistorey next to the hotel as very convenient and guest rate available. Unfortunately I left my drivers side window down about 1/4 which I discovered early next morning. Noticed the drivers seat had been moved and some unpleasant person had reached in and stole some items from the car. Doors were deadlocked so no access was gained. There is cctv but still waiting to see if there is any footage from the hotel management. Would consider going back but unsure.
I stayed here on business and found the hotel to be in a great position for easy access into to town or a short walk/cab to the train station. Although it appears the reception, bar/restaurant has been updated, the spacious and comfortable room I stayed in was a bit of a time warp. Dinner was a bit of a disappointment, although the staff were friendly there were frustrating things like my main being served whilst I still had my starter plate in-front of me which had been finished 15 minutes prior. Multiple request for condiments and a bill also does my head in. The food was ok too. Breakfast was great. I'd recommend this place for business, but not leisure.
Special thanks to Stefanie and Magdalena at reception of Ramada Coventry who are genuinely caring and try to make my stays as comfy as possible!
Overall good but some of the décor in the corridors/ stairwell etc are tired. The resultant is quite pricey
This hotel has all what is needed to have an excellent duration in Coventry! It is only 6-7 minutes away from Coventry train station and little bit less for the shopping centers, also you've the possibilities of varying alternatives for food in front of this hotel: pizze, döner, persian and a small market. I'd like it and would take it again!
