Roomy one bedroom close to beach, though no rooms have ocean view. Staff is so nice! Good black-out shades and quiet A/C. Never went to the pool. There lots of restaurants in walking distance. Easy bus ride from Barcelona airport. Cool vibe in town, though lots of non-Spanish. Loved it regardless.
The apartment was too small for my family. There were residents and apartments for rent in the same building, so the experience was uncomfortable. Elevators looked dirty and very old. I stayed for less than a week, and the room was cleaned just twice. I interchanged a week through Interval, but I honestly think this hotel should not even be on their list. I heard some people complaining about the wifi connection. Receptionists were not always available, and nobody answered my calls whenever I tried to contact them from the room, even during the day. In general, I would not stay there again.
Where do I start. Noisy apartment full of Spanish kids at the pool screaming and shouting parents letting them do what they want it's like a zoo NOT for relaxing Grass cutting will wake you up at 8.30! no notification of this, can hear everything in the apartment neighbours shouting and having party's at 3am drunk young boys so disappointed will not return back here if you paid me.
My family and I love Salou. We go every chance we get and this is the perfect resort. Rodi was our attendant and she was just fabulous. Great experience for me and my family! The room was clean and spacious.
Clean, perfectly equipped studio. Lovely pool area with lush vegetation, enough empty sun beds any time of the day. Great location - quiet with shops and restaurants of all kinds in a walking distance. Morning walk/run in a huge park just behind the resort is such a nice start of the day. Plenty of sightseeing possibilities in the neighboring towns where yo can also enjoy in gastronomical delights. Helpful and friendly stuff are doing their best for your comfort.
Don't come here what a waste of money Pool has no. Bar also no own foood and drink allowed of kids arms bands. Your not alllerd to do nothing at pool no food no drink as long as sat there it's not nine. People and staff are rude don't go I wouldn't waste money if you need toilet you need a key to get thro 3 doors and sane if u want food or drink don't waste money
The manager was concerned about my review, but my review will be trueful. We arrived at 11.30am check in was at 16.00. Not a problem. Straight to the pool which was nice and quiet with plenty of empty sun beds. An hour later our room was ready. The checkin was good and the receptionist told us where the best supermarket was-locals use it so very cheap. And recommended some restaurants and a map. We went to Room which was a 1 bedroom apt. Small but clean . Half of the sofa bed wasn't comfy for an adult but the kids didn't complain. Air con in bedroom and lounge nice and cool. Room overlooked pool with afternoon sun just what we asked for.everything good so far. We spent first week mostly at theme parks but then we started using hotel pool towards backend of first week. These apts are for both holidaymakers and Spanish residents. This where the problems started. A security guard started is summer work at the back end of our first week. We started to see the residents complaining to the guard. I was in the pool in a small ring with my child in a ring. The security guard told me I was not allowed to be in the ring but the kids were. The residents had complained about this. Next day. Playing catch with a small ball. Residents complained again. Told to stop. Next day eating a sandwich at the side of the pool, again resident complained. Couldn't eat. This was becoming a joke so I spoke to manger. She said she couldn't do any thing as the residents seem to rule the roost. But she said I could go in my ring, eat food and play catch between 2-4. This is siesta time when all residents have gone and security guard goes for dinner. What a joke! The manager told me her hands were tied and there are 300 residents which they obviously favour. I'm all for rules but it wasn't like we were jumping around ,shouting and playing music, just floating in a ring lol. Also I booked this apt because of the slide. But the slide is only on from 11.00-14.00 then off till 17.00 and back on for a few hours. Nobody could give me reason for this, but again it seems like it's down to the residents wanting a siesta. These trivial things spoilt our stay a little, but if your just a couple and want piece and quiet you'll not go wrong. But if you want a little fun you maybe disappointed. We got a taxi from airport which was 30 euros. Location is in the Spanish end with small bars and plenty of restaurants and supermarkets. Tenmin walk to beach/harbour and approx 30 min walk to the lively end.
Enjoyed the balcony and shower the most. It also had a good bed. Basic apt in a great location with a pool. Really enjoyed walking around at night in the area and dropping in at the local haunts. Lovely inviting people. Joined in a couple of private parties at their invitation. Wonderful. Toured wine country and roman ruins in Tarragona. The beach went on forever if you want to partake. We are not beach people but still had a drink each evening near the beach to watch the people. Great weeks holiday.
Overall these are nice appartments. They are clean and well kitted out. The pool area is nice a lawned area rather than concrete. The pool was nice and varied between very deep and about 1meter deep , the pool has a kids pool at one end, it also has a slide and waterfall that comes on a few times a day. The a apartment has a TV however the only english channel is BBC News. The apartment has a cooker, Fridge freezer, microwave and a washing machine in the bathroom it has an indoor dineing area.It also has a good sized balcony with a table and chairs also it has a clothes line. The apartments faceing the pool are always in the shade. A good supermarket to go to is out the door turn left, turn right at the police station and it is at the end of that road on the left hand side. The only down side is its a good 15 mins walk to the prominad. However their are a few bars and resteraunts on the way to the prominad. Overall a good place to stay.
Overall the apartments are good. However location wise, I would book somewhere closer to the beach and restaurants next time. This is not a hotel. It’s 2 separate blocks of apartments (Some privately owned/Some for holidaymakers) We were a family of 5. The Pro’s 1. Reception are very helpful. You can book tickets for Portaventura theme park from the front desk at no extra cost. Accommodated our late check out for a reasonable fee. 2. We were in a 2 bed apartment. Small but fully functioning kitchen, with full fridge, Hob, Oven, microwave and washing machine. Cupboards have plates bowls cutlery and cooking utensils. Sitting area had a 2 seater couch with pulls out into a bed, TV (No English channels), a table and chairs. 3. Large wrap around balcony with table and seating, parasol (if needed), Sweeping brush and mop 4. Line to dry clothes 5. Air conditioning in 2 bed rooms and the seating area. 6. Welcome package with tea, coffee, and sugar sachets when you arrive 7. Little package left by the sink with cloths for cleaning, washing up liquid and washing liquid for washing machine (though this is pretty useless so buy your own if you need to wash clothes) 8. Cleaner comes in to empty the bin and restock toilet tissue several times during the week. 9. There is a restaurant next door to the apartments , called Caminto. They do nice pizza’s and is fine if you want to pop down for a few drinks in the evening. 10. Air conditioning – you’ll need it! 11. Plenty of towels. (though needed to wash these every day or 2 and dry them so we had a clean supply!) 12. There are several little tourist shops on the street if you turn right out of the apartments. However these aren’t great for groceries. So if you walk straight across the road when you come out of the apartment and turn left at the end of the street you’ll see the DIA market, which has all the groceries you need and is open all day. There is a Spar on the same street (turn right instead) but this closes for a couple of hours during the day. The Con’s 1. Our apartment was street facing and road noise was an issue night and day. It’s a residential area with a fairly high amount of traffic. The local school is across the street and down a little, but at around 9am each morning, the school plays loud music for some reason while the kids are arriving so it can be noisy! Request a pool facing apartment if you can, it should be quieter as pool is only open between 10am and 8pm each day. 2. The distance from the main strip. It’s a good 15-20 minute walk to the main strip with all the restaurants. This is fine, however after a week of having to do it several times a day with 3 kids it gets tiresome, so if I return to Salou, I’ll book something closer to the beach. There are Taxi’s but the main Taxi rank is at the other end of the strip. We used this towards the end of the week. 11 euro approx. to get back to the apartments, 3. There was a double bed in one bedroom (VERY firm mattress) and then 2 singles in the 2nd bedroom. However one of the single beds was actually a camp bed and the teenager who got it found it very uncomfortable by the end of the week. 4. The apartment above us had a dog. We could hear the dog scratching the floor/Walls etc. at all hours which got very annoying very quickly!, could hear the other inhabitants going to the loo etc. also. So thin walls! 5. The swimming pool is nice but is freezing. The children’s pool is still fairly deep for younger kids so just keep an eye on any little ones you may have. 6. The cleaners do drop 2-3 during the week in to change the bin bag and replace toilet roll. There are public bins across the street which we used each day. Much easier! 7. Check out is at 10 AM so if you have a later flight, request a late checkout. We requested an additional 5 hours and were charged 15 euro, very reasonable. 8. The WIFI - it's charged at 5 euro per day per device!, So if you have a few kids, you need to buy a password for each of them. You can't buy 1 and then hand it to next person when first person is finished. If the hotel is going to charge for WIFI (which should be free in this day and age!), then charge a small fee per room! most restaurants offer free wifi on the strip.
