Port Aventura short break

Friendly staff, lovely large comfortable lounge area. Came for a few days to visit Port Aventura, a 15/20 min walk to park. Rooms basic, but clean, bed good if you like a firm mattress, my husband does, terrible if you don’t, I don’t!

The hotel is clean and the staff were friendly and efficient. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The room was very clean and the balcony spacious with a great view of the pool. The restaurant was impeccable with an excellent choice of food at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bar service was very good but not many staff to take order and bring drinks. The payment system for drinks and other items was poor. Cash or card payment had to be pre-loaded onto a band which also worked as a key card for the room. We would prefer to give card details then settle bill at the end. €10 deposit per towel had to be given. This is understandable but the system was awkward. Go to reception and pay €10 for a ticket then take ticket to towel man. Exchange towel for ticket to return to reception. Poor system.

It was okay, the key cards continued to stop working and I had to constantly go to reception where they then blamed me for it when I wasn’t the only one. Several people staying there told me the same thing. The cleaners came in when I had the do not disturb sign on the door and then another morning continuously knocking on the door

Decent hotel

Decent hotel, great staff and pleasant stay - no real problems, but we did find the rooms to be small and without much comfort. Fine if you do not plan to spend too much time in your room.
