As you enter the main living area you immediately are welcomed with the amazing Texas Gulf Coast views! The interior of Footprints in the Sand features a full gourmet kitchen which includes a refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, cooktop and oven, Keurig coffee maker, toaster, blender, and an arrangement of cooking accessories that will make any chef smile. Our large living and dining area is located on the top floor with amazing ocean views. We offer a laundry room with a washer and dryer plus a utility sink. Footprints in the Sand offers 4 bedrooms each with king sized beds and amazing water views, plus a cozy bunk area all designed with an elegant beach flair. The primary bedroom offers a king size bed. 3 other guest bedrooms have king size beds with a twin daybed. The downstairs studio area offers a fun spot for kids to hang out. There is a twin size bunk bed plus a twin daybed. Enjoy a day at the beach and come back and enjoy the private home swimming pool. There is an outdoor shower to use once you get back from a day at the beach. We even have a little area for younger children to swim too. Prepare meals using the outdoor charcoal grill while your guests are swimming. *Hot tub can be heated for an additional $100 +tax per night for the duration of your stay.* Come stay at Footprints in the Sand and make your vacation a memorable one! Absolutely loved our stay. Only thing was I wish I would’ve seen the extra fee for the Hot Tub. Other than that had a few minor issues with my stay and they sent people out fast to get it fixed. Super awesome how fast they respond.

Great Location - Great House

The house was perfect - allowed us all to stay without air mattresses. THe view was amazing and the beach was not crowded at all. First rate all the way and we will definately rent again.

The house and location more than lived up to its name! Convenience to the beach can't be beat! The short drive to surrounding towns and attractions was great. The house was so comfortable and welcoming for our extended family of ten. We want to come back soon!!

It's only a few steps from a private boardwalk to access the beach. The upstairs features a master bedroom and kitchen which was so welcoming when preparing meals and hanging out with the family. It's located only 10 minutes from town where you can access shopping and restaurants. The family had a blast and we look forward to staying here again!

House was spacious with plenty of room for everyone. Property could use some upkeep as the AC couldn’t keep up, patio door was difficult to open and close on the upper deck and the dishwasher upper rack was broken. Also, the hot tub kept draining all the way into the pool making the pool very hot and really not very pleasant. However these issues would not prevent us from renting again.

A very secluded location with a 10 minute walk to the beach. The pool is very kid friendly. However no shade provided morning to mid afternoon. No cushions on the pool furniture and 2 wicker lounges were falling apart.For the price we expected more amenities. There was only one towel per person for the entire stay of 4 days. Also no towel racks or hooks to hang up wet bathing suits in shower. For a house that sleeps 15, the amount of pots and pans was not adequate. Some needed replacing as they were rusty and unusable. We did enjoy our stay, some of the above mentioned items need to be addressed.

Mold and musty

Walked in and could smell mold. Sheetrock black in downstairs shower. Not enough trash bags, dish washer detergent and soap in bathroom was almost empty. Had to go buy some. Asked to heat hot tub and had to pay— which is ridiculous. They said they turned on but it did not heat and jets did not work. Have rented many homes on Vrbo and NEVER had this experience. For the price we paid should have been excellent. Will never stay again and hope they fix the mold problem as it is not healthy. Will be in touch on that issue.

Lovely home, great location, some disappointments

Home is lovely and we loved the location and view of the water. The house was perfect for a large group offering plenty of room. We did have a couple of issues. I called the management company to confirm that they received our message that we wanted to pay the extra to heat the spa. I was assured that they had made a note of that and told me that they would send someone over the day before to turn it on so it would be warm and ready upon our arrival. Unfortunately when we arrived we found a pool that was overflowing with water and an empty spa. Someone came out to address this and they did correct but first night unable to utilize warm spa. The spa heat pump works sporadically and we never got the jets to turn on. This home has a lot to offer, with a well stocked kitchen and lots of games, just fell short of a five star experience.

Family Vacation

This is one of the best homes we have stayed in to-date. The location to the boardwalk was incredible, and the section of the beach that it spits you out at, is a perfect location, if you're looking to stay away from the crowds. The décor and upkeep are pretty great, with everyone having more than enough room to spread out. We had 7 kids with us and they had plenty of space to sleep and spread out in the downstairs area. We had 4 sets of couples, and the king beds in every room was a definite plus. There were minimal hiccups for us that others should be aware of, but not enough to convince you to stay else where. The views are unmatched! 1. the number of towels that were provided were only 15, when you have exactly 15 people and everyone is showering every night, it doesn't go far if you use a clean fresh towel every night. 2. the mosquitos are UNREAL this year, just be aware that they are out in force unlike I've seen before, especially at night. 3. the grill/smoker is in need of some TLC or replacing. The salty air has taken its toll on the metal, so don't anticipate being able to use it to do much more than charcoal grilling. 4. The kitchen utensils aren't as varied as what we've had before, so just think about that if you're going to be cooking large meals for a group. (bring an extra cookie sheet with you for the oven) 5. The end of the boardwalk is in need of repair to get you onto the beach, if you have an older or disabled person it will be tricky.
