Not a good experience unfortunately! Stayed for two nights and breakfast in both mornings was chaotic with no utensils, no coffee, foods running out…etc. There was only one lady serving the breakfast and she also had to take care of the front desk! There was a smart TV in the room but it didn’t work for Netflix…. The hotel is right by S Padre Island Dr., the main road going to the beaches, so it felt safe but entering the room from dirty outside stairways was not pleasant. Not far from the beaches, so rather convenient in that sense.

Nice hotel for location. They are doing minor cosmetic work on the doors. With a new housekeeping crew, they haven't gotten completely on the same page. Our bathroom shower was not very clean. A shelf full of whiskers. I did let them know that the room was cold despite the the heat up to 81. It was a chilly, windy weekend in the channel. We will return throughout the summer for sure. We are an avid fishing family.

Will not be back.

This was our third time on the Island, so we had something to compare it to. Location is not good. Every time you drive to the beach, you have to make a u-Turn in heavy traffic. The building is old and showing it. Cleanliness is an issue. Cobwebs above the curtains in our room. A cigarette butt was left on the stairs the whole week during our stay. Which means it was not cleaned once. Breakfast was not good, either (very few choices, eggs way oversalted, sour milk).

Birthday fishing trip

The room was really nice and clean other than the gap in the door frame when the door was closed couldn't use the deadbolt. The free breakfast area was really nice and clean and Nancy was very helpful. That was the highlight of the stay. The waffle bar was great and the biscuits and gravy were delicious 😋.
