I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, The Hotel Del- The most beautiful and historical place to visit in CA. I just never get enough of this magnificent work of ART. I am a repeat customer and will be for as long as I live. Coronado Hotel Del Love Sharon J

Check in process was flawed as we were told we would receive a text message when our room was ready, we never received a text and had to check back with the front desk and were told that the room was ready. Our room was old and dirty. We understand this is an old/historic hotel but the room was very disappointing and was not clean. The carpet looked as old as the hotel itself and was not sealed to the floor properly causing us to trip over the elevated carpet. The bed was uncomfortable with a large dip in the middle. The pillows were old and lumpy. The bathroom (in the junior suite) was tiny (especially the vanity). I also checked twice with the front desk staff that our junior suite would have a balcony and was told our room would have a balcony. There was not a usable balcony. Overall, very disappointed, especially given the cost of the room.

Phone - broken cable Floors - uneven Carpet - filthy Room service subpar, didn’t clean half the room Keurig - broken Smoke alarm rang randomly Phone rang at 10:45pm randomly Fridge making vibrating noise Had to ask for towels 3 times Car was not charged until I came to check. Did get 2 nights free of charge as compensation. Mold in bathroom due to no vent Door lock stopped working so couldn’t get in to room When bringing up the above items to front desk, they apologize but not much they can do.

It was a nice step back in time but with all the amenities of a modern hotel.

Offered a $200 upgrade at check-in. Declined offer. Arrived an hour early so room wasn’t yet ready- no problem. Front desk again tried to up-sell the upgrade for a room that was ready. Declined again. The room available an hour after check in; no accommodation offered or explained. No hot water in the room. Front desk, they said to let it run for 15 min. A hot water recirculating system/timer under the sink was disconnected. The p-trap was held together with electrical tape. Wondering what the historical preservation surcharge was being used for. Shower was dirty with pink mold in the grout. Easy to clean off, so housekeeping standards seem lax. Message inquiring about cleaning practices was not returned as promised. Case goods were nice and what you would expect for a Conrad; soft goods were not and need replacement. Room was charged for a purchase in the ENO market that I did not make. Called Hilton and they suggested maybe I ordered a coffee. Really? I did not. Actually bought a carton of water and paid for it directly with a different card than was used for the reservation. Asked if they could detail what the charge was for and look at the signature. They could not, but said the manager would call me the following day. No callback as promised. Will have to dispute the charge with credit card co. Needless to say this was an overall very disappointing stay due to front desk, maintenance, housekeeping and management practices at an otherwise beautiful hotel.

Beautiful older hotel on Coronado. It is in a great location - close to restaurants and shops on Orange Ave. Sunset views are spectacular! It is expensive and everything is pricey. The bathroom shower/tub should be better if you are spending $$$$ - we had to let the water run at least 2 minutes until warm water came out.

Beautiful place. Great staff .

Beautiful historic property! Lovely Christmas decorations and holiday spirit!

When arriving to Hotel they didn’t have the room I booked available. Blamed it on Orbitz. Have zero credits or solutions. Moved us to a new area, in front of a construction site. We got to hear and see that for one whole week!

This hotel was Amazing! Staff helped us with any questions or concerns we had. One of the best Hotels we have stayed at! Beach was Perfect and so was our view of the beach! Fireworks were beautiful that was put on by Coronado Island

Beautiful property with so much history. However it is currently undergoing renovations, so some amenities are not available due to that and covid - and there is a lot of noise. Also the service is hit and miss. For example on the Sun Deck the service is first rate, but check-in took forever and the staff was indifferent, providing little information about what was open and where things were. Finding your room can also be a challenge - think corn maze. The check in queue line was even confusing with conflicting signage, and staff acted irritated that the guests couldn’t figure it out. Also the elevator and some hall areas were not clean and the air conditioning in our room was broken. However I give the property high marks for clean rooms, comfortable beds, fantastic pizza, historical significance, and a beautiful beach and views. The renovations are needed and I look forward to returning when they are complete.

Property is under construction and many amenities are not available. However this checkin experience was very good compared to the previous reservation, room was clean and food was good, although service at Babcock and story was very slow and the pizza oven was down. Overall a beautiful property which should shine once construction is complete and with a few service tweaks.

Very nice we had a great time, we enjoy the beach!

Property is beautiful and perfect for being on the ocean. However when staying we were unaware construction was taking place until we got there.

the view was nice from our cabana partial ocean view room

The property was beautiful. It was our first time staying on the island. Amenities were great and location was excellent. The only thing I didn’t like was the room was pretty dated. I understand it’s an older hotel but I think it needs some upgrades.
