We expected somewhat rustic or outdated accommodations in return for the novelty of sleeping alongside the canal just minutes from the City Center. We found the opposite! Our room was completely private, clean, modern, and interesting. The breakfast was a generous display of local foods. We especially enjoyed the warm drinks that were available for our evening under the stars. They have though of everything - including comfortable lounge chairs and even blankets on the upper deck. The room, the breakfast, and the view were all first class. As mentioned in other reviews, you can hear the 'white noise' of the nearby bridge, but we did not find it at all disruptive. In fact, it was fascinating to watch the morning Danish bicycle rush-hour out of our window. 5 stars if you like adventure combined with convenience !!!

Hotel is walking distance to Tivoli and a shopping/restaurant district. While the hotel is showing some wear it is still a wonderful and relaxing place to stay and we would return.

Pros Beautiful sunsets and water views. Friendly staff. Nice roof deck. Cons Do you want to use the bathroom in view of your roommate? No a/c or fans, and the staff pulls open the shades when they clean so your room will be nice and hot when you enter on a summer evening. Very little space for unpacking. No screens on windows so using the lights after dusk during summer attracts moths.

Panoramic view of the waterway, its boats, and a beautiful city skyline. Classic Scandinavian decor. Friendly and helpful hosts. Delicious continental breakfasts. Easy walking distance to good restaurants.
