We spent one night here and found it to be a comfortable, pleasant place to stay. The staff could not have been more helpful and seemed to be prepared to go the extra half mile. The hotel offers a good value experience, even to the extent of responding to a telephone query after we had departed. We thought we had left something. We had not but the manager checked. Thank you.
Just finished a three-days tour on the canal, we were looking for a nice hotel close to our final destination as well as a place for getting '5 o'ckock tea'. And fortunately we have chosen this hotel. Quality of food, rooms, services - everything is excellent. Especially desk service, which helped us for getting a transfer to the airport of Liverpool.
Beautiful hotel, warm welcome and excellent breakfast. We stayed in a double room and was pleasantly surprised to find an enormous bed. If ever we are in the area again we would definitely stay again.
I have stayed at the Alexandra Court several times over the past year when working on a project in Congleton.I can only endorse many of the excellent reviews below. The bedrooms are all individual and decorated in keeping with the style of the building. Everything spotless in the bathrom department. The recently extended bar and dining area offers a short but quality evening menu and the desserts are, of course, to die for. There is also the option of eating outside in fine weather which I was able to do on my last visit when I enjoyed a very good salmon and risotto main dish. Cooked breakfast is also excellent; quality sausages and bacon and just the right quantity and the cold meats and cheese with a warm croissant was one of the best cold options I have sampled. My only suggestion is that some fruit or grapefruit in addition to cereals would be a nice addition to breakfast. Also, this is not hotel aimed at the business market so some rooms don't have enough sockets if you are travelling with multiple devices, but this is only a minor quibble.
From our first meeting with Andrew and Mark we felt totally relaxed and at home in our venue. Andrews support and guidance meant our wedding day ran as smooth as could be. Due to the weather our wedding took place in the drawing room which was beautifully laid out. The gardens were as beautiful as we had hoped and have given us some of our most precious photographs. The wedding breakfast was delicious and was complimented by our guests. A night of lovely music, conversation and laughter ensued through the evening. The bridal suite was spacious and tastefully decorated. We awoke to a beautiful cooked breakfast then sat outside in the gardens. Andrew,Mark and all the staff including Marks mother made our day the most special day of our lives. We now look forward to seeing them all again in twelve months time for our anniversary.
The rooms are exquisitely decorated and impeccably clean ,the breakfast is the best i have ever tasted with high quality food and cooked to perfection ...and also very hot ! (hate breakfasts that are just warm /or bits of it are) The staff are so friendly and accommodating , and the gardens are beautiful cannot thank them enough for a wonderful stay .
We only stayed here one night but was lovely stay Very helpful staff who even arranged early breakfast as we were going to a wedding Highly recommend Rooms were spacious woth lovely comfortable beds and great shower room
My wife and I stayed for just one night whilst attending a friends wedding in Gawsworth. This small independent ‘boutique’ hotel is simply outstanding and the owners have set a very high standard. The hotel is easy to find, easy to park with additional car parking at the rear and a friendly and helpful welcome at reception. The individual rooms were maintained to a superior standard, crisp clean linen and comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent with the usual selection of juice, cereal etc and the full English was particularly good. We would not hesitate in recommending this to all our friends if you visit the area and we would hope to return again. Thank you
Lovely small hotel, easy to get to and find. Great staff Good food The menu isn't extensive but everything on it was faultless A very comfortable room, a soft dreamy sleepy bed and duvet finished off with a terrific breakfast. Worth every penny
My wife and I spent a night at the Alexandra on our way to the Lake District. Everything was very professionally run, from the excellent reception to the afternoon tea and spotlessly clean room. We were in a room at the back which overlooked the well kept garden and was very quiet. Breakfast was a treat. Astbury Mere lake is just five minutes walk from the hotel and is ideal for a short walk or jog.
