First of all, in terms of cleanliness, this hotel is in very poor condition. From the moment you arrive, you are hit with a strong, unpleasant smell—like an old, poorly maintained, and unsanitary property, mixed with odors of marijuana and other strange smells throughout the building. The staff, however, was very kind; we were greeted by Amanda, who was friendly, welcoming, and professional. When we entered the first room, we had to leave immediately because the smell was unbearable—a mix of food, dirt, humidity, and other unpleasant odors all combined, making it impossible to stay there. We were then moved to a second room, which was slightly better, but still far from clean. The carpets are extremely dirty, heavily stained, and worn out, and one of the burners in the room did not work. The hallways smell terrible, and the odor of marijuana is present throughout the entire property. What they call “breakfast” is basically just a coffee pot and hot water for tea, which cannot realistically be considered breakfast. Overall, the hygiene of this hotel is very poor. A positive aspect would be the parking and the location, as it is close to several tourist areas and also near Walmart. However, I would not recommend this hotel for families, as the general type of clientele seems to be mostly individuals staying one or two nights or people passing through for work and leaving quickly, and it does not feel like a safe or appropriate environment for a family stay.
